Excellent Napoli style pizza! We had to place our order up front and wait for it to be brought to our table…but that was a pretty fast process. The pizza….was delicious! The crust was misshapen with all the marks and charrings of a traditional Italian pizza. The sauce was light and the ingredients fresh. We drove from over an hour away and will repeat whenever we’re linging for good pizza!
One of the best pizza’s I had. The dough is crusty. Most often the pizza do not have cheese on them. But when it has cheese it looks very greasy especially the Drunken Horse. Also the AC is very uncomfortable. It was pouring rain outside and the AC was so strong thatcI had to wear my jacket because I was going to get sick. Something should be done about it. All in all, it was a good experience.
Horrible service. Ordered 5 pizzas and 5 drinks and a appetizer for $75. Not complaining about the price. But my daughters pizza never came out I told them & they said it will be right out…. And….. Nothing…. Finally after we all had finished our dinner they brought a couple of different pizzas for free. Also To be fair the pizza’s are good. But that’s not the point (that they tried to make it right as any restaurant should do) I mean cmon guys get it right. Aim small miss small…. A miss is A miss.
Not too good today… I wish i would have written a review before today. I’ve been to Pompieri between 10 and 15 times since they’ve opened and every experience prior to today was great. Today the service was laking severely. We had a simple order and one of the three pizza came out wrong, it was suppose to be gluten free but it wasn’t. Still not a huge problem, it happens. The problem I had was a server asked me if there was anything she could do for me and I asked for a piece of bread to dip into the sauce. She informed me that it would be 70 cents for the bread. I feel that if you mess up an order to where the party can no longer eat together, you should maybe give them a free piece a bread. The gluten free pizza eventually came out but the extra sauce that we paid for was cold. Since they rushed the pizza, the pizza’s crust was undercooked and not very crispy. At almost 50 dollars for 3 people to eat pizza, I would have expected more. I really wish I would have wrote a review sooner because before today i would have given it 5 stars.
Interesting place. You line up down one side of the place and pass about six fish tanks. I guess they are there to relax you if the lines are too long (hint hint). You order at the counter and then find a table and they bring the food out to you. The pizzas are definitely good. You can order one of the specialties or create your own. We also got salads and two cheese plates. I don’t like cheese but the others in our party raved about the goat cheese. We got a Florian (white pizza), a veggie pizza, and I got the Drunken Horse (a meaty pizza). They were all very tasty. The bar has some good wines, but the beer selection was somewhat limited. Mostly local stuff. I had hoped for more IPA’s or a Belgian. Overall this was a good experience though. I look forward to going back when it’s not so crowded.
