Atmosphere Goodbut Food a let down!. I was excited to try Blackstone Smokehouse on Sat night. The atmosphere was nice and the servers very polite and friendly. The food unfortunately was a let down. I had the Sloppy Tarheel and although the fries were tasty the burger was not. Not sure what the coleslaw is made of but it was also not very good. My husband had the smoked pork and he said it was dry. Maybe we’ll wait a while and try it again. We really do want them to succeed.! Good Luck!

Won’t be back.. This evaluation does not come from just one visit, but a couple. I had heard great reviews of the new Blackstone Smokehouse and Pub. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience as those who gave the great reviews. On my first visit I ordered the basic pulled pork sandwich. Any restaurant serving BBQ in North Carolina should be able to nail this easily to the wall. The Blackstone did not.The owner came by and asked how I liked my meal. First, I squeezed a few of the fries that came with the meal. They just dripped oil and grease. They were soft and mushy not crisp and crunchy at all. Then I told him I could see a lot of bun. That is just a saying that means the cook was cheap with the amount of pulled pork he/she put on the bun. There were uncovered portions of bun indicating….not much pork. Plus, half the pork on my sandwich was pure fat and not meat.I asked the owner didnt the menu indicate that slaw came with the meal. He indicated it did. I informed him it did not on mine and I had to ask for it.Finally, I was never asked by the waitress what I would like to drink and had only the water that was provided initially. To the owners credit he wanted to try and make amends, but I just didnt have the time. I did let him know that even though I would only give the meal a weak C- or strong D, I would be back again with my other half and give it another try.On my next visit, my other half and I went together. I ordered a regular meal this time and she ordered a sandwich with fried okra on the side.My meal was a smoked chicken breast with mashed potatoes and slaw. Hers was a turkey sandwich. My chicken breast was so small and cut up that I had to put it back together to convince myself it was indeed a chicken breast. Plus, it was very, very dry. The potatoes were brown and tasteless even though they were supposed to be chocked full of goodies. My other half tried them and said they had to have been made some time ago and just reheated. I dont know. The slaw tasted like my previous visit. Wet and tasteless. We could not tell how the slaw was dressed, but it wasnt good. One of the worse things of my meal was the drink. I ordered a Guinness beer and it came in a 13 ounce WINE GLASS. Anyone standing behind a bar should know a Guinness comes in a 20 ounce imperial glass so the bubble process can do its thing. Basically, people are being charged full glass beer prices and getting half the beer. NOT a $6 beer.My other halfs meal was bland and the turkey was so chopped up it was difficult to tell what it was. The one thing of her meal we halfway enjoyed was the okra. It appeared to be fresh. One other item about the restaurant. There are just about 20 parking spaces in its stamp size parking lot. And DONT park in front of a business adjacent to the restaurant for they will have no problem coming out and telling you to move your car or have it towed. There is no doubt I will not be returning to the Blackstone Smokehouse and Pub. From conversations with other patrons in the parking lot others feel that way as well. There are far too many good places in Fayetteville to get great meals at less the cost and get full size beers. Those are the places I will going back to and enjoying good food.

Outstanding!!!!. My wife and I live in Brairwood just down the road. We watch with great anticipation we watch the rebuild to the restruarant. We went there today and meet every level of quality, and most important the food! The service was 10 out of 10; 10 being the greatest! By the way the waitress that returnened the lobster joke on me is Outstanding. See you tomorrow for lunch

Opening night success. After much anticipation we were excited to visit Blackstone Smokehouse & Pub located just around the corner in our neighborhood. We are always excited to indulge in local eateries and were pleased to try beers from Dirtbag Ales Brewing, which is based out of Hope Mills. The pickle fries were properly battered, deliciously crisp and paired well with the cool, refreshing dipping sauce. My husband had the roast beef dip which he said was delicious, tender and hearty. He really liked the jus as well as the french fries and slaw that the sandwich was served with. I had the brisket entree which is served with toast, slaw and choice of two sides. It was difficult to decide between the selections: collard greens, mashed twice baked potatoes and bourbon baked beans, to name a few. I chose the Mac n’ cheese and fried okra which were portioned properly and very flavorful. The beer selection was phenomenal and comprised of many NC brews: Foothills (my favorite NC brewery and the only tapped ‘Seeing Double IPA’ I know of in town), Oskar Blues Brewing Co (Yellow Pils, Old Chub and the ol’ faithful and always delicious, Dales Pale Ale), Deep River Brewing Company and the truly local Dirtbag Ales which they proudly serve an IPA, Porter and Klsch. If your looking for a mellow, friendly bar with good eats and craft beer … Blackstone is your go to. Give them a try!
