The menu has changed and was rather vague but I was pleasantly surprised.
It s a SHAME! Qu pesar!. I have been to La Fogata since it opened and it had always been a pleasure to eat there – until today. Yes, the food is good and the place is clean BUT the person who wrote the previous review is completely right: They are charging tips wrong and even the price that appears in the receipts does not always correspond to what is written on the menu. I felt really bad because I had with me (trying to show a little bit of my country) two people from Guatemala, one from Panama and one from the US and we all felt like it was a rip off. The waiter was not great, they did not give us the check so it was a mystery what we would pay (this has always been like that but had never been a problem before). On top of that, each of us was charged a tip of 18% – even one person who was only paying for 6 empanadas over the counter-. It is a shame, I am Colombian and wish I could go to a place that is being managed as a good restaurant: they need better waiters, a check for the clients so they know in advance what they will be paying and to CHECK for errors, and being honest about charging tips. I agree with you manager, you have a Restaurant Business, so please, do what it takes to make it better -(computerized system maybe?). We would continue to support your place and bringing more clients to you! As for now, we are all in stand bye.
Scammers. I went to eat with my family and friends, 4 adults,3 kids. The food was ok, they didn’t give us the check so I went up to pay. The cashier read to me the items she was charging me for including the taxes, as I was paying the computer had options for tip starting at 18% so i chose that option. My bill seemed unusually large so when i looked at my reciept i noticed they had already charged me 18% gratuity that the cashier did not tell me. Then i paid another 18% on top of that. I went back in to get my money back and the cashier had to call out another lady who said they had to call the manager, after they gave me the run around she finally gave me my money back. Make sure u check your reciepts if the bill seems too high! I will not be back and will probably alert the BBB of their bad business practices!
I love oll the food. I been going to this restaurant for about 5 years the food is excelent , 100 sanitation , rally clean is one of the most clean restaurant in town , gread services, i recomend 100 porcent.the food is very economic compare to others restaurants in town ,i love it,

Great Food!!. I love this restaurant!!! My boyfriend and I frequent this restaurant several times a month!!! I’ve never had a problem with the service and the food is prepared very fast! The plantains are delicious! Definitely one of my faves in Fayetteville!
