The doughnut burger is good. But it’s kind of a one time thing. The bbq is just okay and over priced. Tastes like I would expect from a chain bbq restaurant. Much better local be that is lower priced or the same price for more food.

Don’t waste your time. I have eaten at this place several times. As a Manager of three business locations in this town, I have recommended this place to my 100 workers. I have bought food for office lunchs, I have taken business clients there for lunch. I have hosted lunchs with co-workers. I am a 45 year old businessman. I stopped in with a friend tonight. Went to the bar to place a to go order, and thought what the heck. I will have a beer. The young bartender said can I see your ID. I of course chuckled, and handed her my ID. She said I can’t except this, it has a crack. Its not valid. I asked to see the manager. Of course, the tall blonde lady had her purse over her shoulder, forgive me for interrupting your leaving work. She asked to see my ID. And said, yes since it has this crack in it, it is not valid. I was shocked, surprised, and speechless. We left, lucky for me, a Fayetteville Law Enforcement officer was in the Sams Club parking lot. I pulled over there, and asked his opinion of the condition of my license and if it was valid. With a look of confusion, he asked me why I thought it was not valid. I explained what just happened. He laughed, and said by all means my ID was valid. That they did not know what they were talking about. This current management team is a total joke. Its a bunch of sorority sisters who have not a clue about customer service, and not a clue about liqueur control laws. And by the way, I did stop at the ABC store, if you did not know, its run by the state, and understands the laws. I happily showed my license to the young lady checking me out, and I made a point to ask about the crack. When I told her the story, she could not believe it, and called another coworker over to have me tell the story again. And then another coworker came over and we all shared a laugh. What a shame, it was a good BBQ Restaurant. Just the current management is going to run it into the ground.
Never again!. Took my children to Memphis BBQ in fayetteville and only thing we got accomplished was a whole bunch of coloring. There were only two tables seated in the entire restaurant and even though we were seated quickly noone ever returned to our table. There were servers walking around cleaning empty sections and twenty minutes later noone had even come by to take our drink order! At the thirty minute point we just got up and walked out! On the way out they had the nerve to say they hope we enjoyed and have a good night! Well we did have a good night at Outback Steakhouse!
I had the brisket sandwich, wasn’t happy. It looked like diced Fancy Feast and tasted like Vienna sausages with BBQ between two cheap buns. It was absolutely horrible, but the beer was ice cold. But lots of places in town have cold beer.
Very Good Memphis Style BBQ. The meats at the Memphis Barbecue Company are cooked Memphis style, that is at low temperature for long hours with heat and smoke provided by wood coals. We sampled Pulled Pork, Baby Back Ribs, Beef Brisket, and Smoked Turkey. The Pulled Pork with Memphis Sauce was championship quality, the best I have seen outside of competition and in a restaurant. The ribs come either wet or dry, the wet ribs have a sauce like most people around here are used to; the dry ribs are cooked and/or finished with dry rub seasonings (Memphis style). We tried the wet ribs, they were moist and tender and the flavor was excellent. The Beef Brisket was tender and very good. The Smoked Turkey was good, but they are still fine tuning the sauce on it. I would definitely recommend you trying the Pulled Pork, Baby Back Ribs, and Beef Brisket. The Memphis Barbecue Company has three sauces on the table: Memphis, Memphis Vinegar, and Memphis Spicy. The Memphis is an excellent traditional Memphis style sauce, somewhat thick and sweet plus some seasonings. The Memphis Vinegar is the Memphis sauce with some extra vinegar to thin it some, this makes it more like a North Carolina sauce, but it is still thicker and sweeter than North Carolina sauces, remember this is Memphis Style barbecue. The Memphis Spicy is the Memphis sauce kicked up with extra heat and spices. We liked the Memphis Vinegar sauce the best, but they are all good, it just depends on what you like. The side dishes we tried were cole slaw, potato salad, red beans and rice, fried okra, collards, fried pork skins, and cornbread. They were all good. Note that the red beans and rice are Cajun style, the collards are seasoned with a little pepper vinegar, and the fried pork skins are seasoned with a little dry rub seasoning. The service was very good and friendly. This is the best Memphis Style Barbecue in North Carolina. Review by Certified Barbecue Judge (MBN, KCBS, NCPC, NCBS).
