Went there for the lunch buffet and it was pretty good. The banchan was lacking though. I didn’t go for dinner but heard that it was a bit pricey.
Tongue Exploration. There is nothing better than walking into a restaurant of a specific nationality and finding it completely packed with people of the same nationality. You know, whether you like the food or not, you will be getting an authentic taste of that particular part of the world. Albeit, with this buffet it will be a narrow taste tour.As with some of the smaller Asian restaurants you will not find an epic array of gut-buster food. The lunch Buffet ($10 per person + drink) is just a one one-sided buffet line with rice on one end and sushi on the other. There were no labels for the dishes, so you’re never really sure what you’re eating (which is kind of funny considering the jokes about Asian food and their contents) but each item was very good. There were 5 meat dishes present on the buffet. The star by far was the bulgogi. It was juicy, tender, and pleasing in every way. There was also marinated pork, something on the bone mixed with vegetables, a fried honey glazed chicken dish, and fried drumettes. Most of the offerings were various vegetarian items including 2 kinds of kimchi, zucchini and sweet potato tempura, fried dumplings, and a cold noodle dish.If you come for the lunch buffet, don’t expect to be tended to like royalty. There are usually only 2 employees that tend to the dining area, and while not slacking, they cannot attend to everyone as quickly, but do eventually make it around. I was offered my first refill as I was getting up to leave, but I wasn’t mad, because I watched her bust her butt to serve everyone in there.Considering the price of the buffet and the limitations of a very diligent, but small staff they get an 8/10. But for a better selection of food, come at a different time. Just be prepared to pay more.
The lunch buffet is amazing! Lots of variety, all you can eat, and even includes sushi! It’s less than $10 per person which is a great deal. Get there early though. Would definitely recommend!
Overpriced!. We decided gave this place a try, and we were disappointed. We ordered Bulgogi, Fried Flounder & Pork Fried Rice. The Bulgogi was nothing special or even tasty. The Fried Flounder and the pork fried rice were very tasty, but we felt we can find other places with the same food for cheaper. The wait staff was accommodating, but their attitudes rubbed us the wrong way.
This is an amazing restaurant! They are very friendly. Be sure to try the tteok po kie! It is great and taste like the real thing. It is a bit pricy but with two entree’s you can easily feed 3 to 4 people. While there be sure to check out the Korean market.
