Amazing Habachi and Sushi. Me and my husband met in Okinawa. With that being said, we LOVE habachi and sushi. We’ve tried a few of the places around town. We received a coupon to this place and decided to give it a shot. Since we live on Bragg, it was a little bit of a hike to Ramsey. I’m telling you right now, it was well worth it. You can choose to sit at the grill, or at a booth or table in the restaurant. We sat at the grill and boy, was it entertaining. The chef was hilarious and was excellent with everyone who came in. The wait staff was very polite, as is usual with Japanese custom. I couldn’t decide whether or not I wanted sushi or habachi so I decided on both. Their sushi came first and it was AMAZING. It rivaled the sushi we were accustomed to in Okinawa. Tasted so fresh and was delectable. Both my husband and I ordered the Filet Mignon and Scallop habachi. The Filet was some of the most tender steak I’ve gotten around even at steakhouses. And the scallops were perfectly cooked. I normally don’t eat the ginger and mayonnaise sauces they pair with the habachi, but I decided to try this one and it was to die for. Everything about this place brought back memories of the wonderful food of Okinawa. In my honest opinion, it beat any other place I’ve been to. This place is a tad pricey, but it’s worth every penny. Large portions, and wonderful staff. 5 stars in my book.
Spotless and Upscale. I took the wife and kids in two weeks ago shortly after the soft opening. Very impressed with the restaurant, its layout, the cleanliness and staff. The chef was new and was still getting the hang of things but the food was first class. Had the steak and shrimp and liked everything. Going back tonight to try something new.Update: Was again pleased. Not pricey and good. The steak was approximately 8 ounces, the chicken was large and tonight the sushi was off the chain good. More later, sleep is calling.
