Horrible Management. Myself nor any of my department will ever go back there. Food was good not great waiter was great. Manager was rude and did nothing at all to fix a mistake with our drinks.
I have been going there for the last 29 years and will continue to patron the restaurant. It has become a great place to gor for an evening drink and dinner. Keep up the good work Jose & Todd!
Good location and atmosphere…but that’s it. Chico’s has been around a long time and if people are honest about it, it is because they snagged a prime location. The atmosphere is nice and considering Rocky Mount is a dead-end town with nothing going on, Chico’s is about the only place to go for drinks and to have a meal and feel like maybe you actually aren’t in Rocky Mount. But, the food is horrible. The last time I went, I ended up apologizing to the out of town friends I had brought as they clearly did not like their food and were embarrassed about it. I don’t go here anymore, it is not worth it. The food is about as Mexican as Taco Bell.
House made isn’t 5/10
Best Salsa in Town. I’ve been going to Chico’s since I was 8 and even though other, cheaper Mexican places came to town, I stuck with my original favorite even after trying the competition.Chico’s tex-mex style is a little more on the pricier side compared to how cheap most authentic Mexican places are, but the flavor is well worth it. Everything is beautifully seasoned and the portions are more than enough. It also holds my personally assigned record in Rocky Mount for both Best Salsa and Best Dessert. Their salsa is so good you could drink it and it’s damn near my favorite in the entire country. Similarly, their Fried Ice Cream dessert is outstanding – a nice helping of vanilla ice cream covered in cinnamon sugar and placed in a cinnamon sugar edible bowl and drizzled with honey. It’s delicious.Since graduating high school, I’ve since moved out of town, but anytime I return to revisit family, this is where we’re going if we’re going out to eat. It’s delicious.
