Satisfying. Good, filing and cheap food. Gets very busy at lunch time. Food comes out quickly, tastes hot and fresh and staff is friendly and efficient. El Tapatio is by no means the best Mexican I’ve had but it certainly satisfies my cravings for chicken quesadillas, spanish rice and chips and salsa.
One Time Visitors. My husband and I are always looking to try new places to dine on our night out. I finally made the leap to El Tap after hearing all the rave reviews from friends. The tables were too high (We felt like we were kids at the adult table). Really strange and uncomfortable. The atmosphere was loud and chatty, very bright and the staff was rushing around like they were shorthanded (although they obviously weren’t). It gave the place an overall feel of anxiousness. Not at all relaxing. The waiter remembered to check on us twice. Our drinks arrived way later after we got there, the food wasn’t hot and fresh. More like it had been left and forgotten by the frantic servers that were buzzing around the whole time. The food might have been ‘okay’ aside from the temperature of it, but I can’t remember because everything else overshadowed it. All said, we never went back. El Tap is basically a step up from Taco Bell when it comes to atmosphere.

They have no customer service skills. The owner should either fire all the employees and hire new ones or give a customer service class! They don’t say hello how are you Doing they just take your order and leave to talk amongst the other employees but I notice they only do it to black people. Any good review as far as customer service is probably a white person or a employee. So if your black your best bet is to order take out or don’t give them any of your time and money.
