This is the coffee place you’ve been to before, and you know it well. The reclaimed warehouse exterior, the decor beyond the entrance that’s vaguely exotic and natural and tropical, though you can’t quite place what tropic it belongs to. The menu is written on a chalkboard in various colors and the people are just as variously recognizable: the mother with her baby in a carrier, the fresh-from-a-jog twenty-something, the businessperson on their daily lunch break. A cast of coffee shop characters you know all too well. It has good, strong coffee, and the typical egg-and-cheese bagel that tastes like everything else here: good, but expected.*Comforting.*This is either a knock or a point in favor of Third Place, depending on what you’re in the mood for. If you want the familiarity of a coffee shop that’s clearly started as the Central Perk from Friends and been iterated an infinite number of times into an infinite number of coffee shops; this is it. If you want something unique, look elsewhere. The contents taste good, but the sign might as well read ‘Coffee Shop’ with a string of random numerals following the name. freshbeatsfresheats.com
One of the better coffee shops around. Third place and bean traders are both excellent coffee shops. I think of Third Place as a nice location to chill, study, sip on excellent coffee and such. Parking is of the parallel nature (this is Glenwood at Five Points, after all) but it’s absolutely worth going to. The atmosphere is pretty nice and the decor is always changing. Can’t say there’s anything I don’t like about it.
One of the Best Places to Relax…. When your day is stressed and you need to chill, Third Place is the place. They serve a variety of lighter fare foods (sand.’s and soups), but the specialty is coffee. Serving the area for more than 15 years, they’ve the experience ot prove it.
