My reasonably high rating is based on the quality of the service at the bar and the strong selection of beers. Great place to drink. The food is alright, but just seems to fall short of being something truly noteworthy. Nothing wrong with eating here, but I bet you can find better in town and then come here for a few pints.

Between the beer selection and the high quality pub food, Finnigans Wake is a great place to go for a weekend lunch or an evening date. I highly recommend the reuben or their fish and chips.

Good environment… Horrid food. Finnigan’s is a great place to have a beer and watch a game… the environment was welcoming and exactly what you’d expect of an Irish Pub… expect the food. Sadly, I can’t find anything positive about anything my table ordered. We started with Scotch Eggs as an app. They had no meat around them (traditional) so it was a basically a deep fried egg. Total letdown. Since apps are buy one get one on Sundays, we also ordered Shepard Pie nachos. This is a fusion dish that should never happen. Gloopy, underseasoned mess on chips… almost inedible. Another letdown, thank goodness it was free. We also had bangers and mash, which is one of my favorite irish dishes. It arrived with clumpy looking gravy and the sausages were weak in flavor. Three strikes, and you’re out. Won’t be back here for food. Stick with drinks and football here.

Not too bad as a theme pub…good beer, food average30 Dec, 2012Atmosphere nice, scotch eggs pretty good, Shep pie needs some lamb!!! Not beef (that’s a cottage pie!) and bangers and mash is terrible! Ill happily show the chef how to make both of these classic English (not Irish) dishes properly. Aside from the food, the wait staff were attentive and the surroundings pleasant..not really like an Irish or English pub but the effort is there. Just need to improve on certain items on the menu and drop some of the prices to reflect the dish.

Good sweet potato fries good burger otherwise mediocre. Very very expensive for what it is.

Good. I recommend the Shepards Pie, Bangers & Mash, Scotch Eggs, Fish & chips, Granny Smith Chicken Sandwich and The Blarney Burger. Try out their homeade vinegerette dressings.
