Not happy. I got a growler because I was in town and like to try local beer. There was $5 deposit on the bottle, which wasn’t a problem until I tried to return it. They wouldn’t take it back (4 days later) without a receipt! Are you kidding me??? It is obviously your growler, it has your logo on it! I was told most people refill them. So? If you charge a deposit, take it back.

I have been here twice and I am not horribly impressed. I think they go for attempting to have creative dishes but the flavors don’t always agree. The servers are minimal and I think they would benefit from having one or two more. The beer selection is much more robust in the fall but year round they have interesting names and flavors. It is downtown so parking isn’t always easy but there is a parking garage across the street. So the food is fair, ambiance can depend on the day and weather and the service can stand some improvement. The highlight for me was the steak with arugula and raspberry dressing. I would say give it a try.

The beer I tried here was excellent and food was just OK. The location in downtown is great and the place has a nice relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely return to sample some more beers.

Experienced the worst service of my life here. My boyfriend and I went in to enjoy a few beers and the bartender was only concerned with talking to other people and consistently walked past us. If you see a guy with a beard, glasses and long hair – turn around and leave the bar. I will add that my boyfriend loves foothills – this just ruined the experience for me.

Rather Overpriced. Lunch here recently was a follow up to our exposure to some of their food offerings that we sampled at another venue. This place is a bright, upscale pub with plenty of beer choices, a rather adventuresome menu with frequent changes and additions – much of the food is solid, but there is the occasional bump along the culinary highway. We started with what we thought was an order for Hot Chips, but ended up with Fried Pickle Chips ($5.99), and rather than wait for a re-order, we took the pickles. The portion size was nice, but these are not the best fried pickles around – too small, too thin, and you have too much batter. The Buffalo Burger ($12.99 with a side,) was pretty good, and the FFs were nice. But at $3 more than their regular cheeseburger, which is rather pricey itself, this burger is just plain too expensive. The Cheeseburger ($9.99 with a side) was just ok, rather bready, and overcooked. The Pimento Cheese on the burger was very good. The 1/2 Lb Pub Melt ($11.99) could have been good, but the burger was undercooked, mostly pink inside. The Mac & Cheese side was very good. All in all, nothing really above average here in the food area, and the prices are up there, maybe as high as any similar restaurant in the Triad. Not sure there would be an occasion to warrant coming back here. The beer might be another matter, but didn’t try any.

Meh. Food is fine, beer is meh, service has never been great.

Service is bad. Food order is usually messed up. Either burnt burgers or over cooked calimari. The only thing they have going for them is the pumpkin beer.
