Nice Burger In This Rather Plain Little Place. This little place is the latest diner type restaurant in this location – inside is small, worn. They serve breakfast and lunch (closing at 2PM), sandwiches, burgers, and some Meat & 2 items – Hamburger Steak, Salmon Patties. Salisbury Steak, Fried Pork Chop, Chicken Strips, Fried Flounder, and a Vegetable Plate – all around $6.50 or so – sides are the usual suspects.Their Chili Dog is not bad, just not great Chili is a little thin and weak – adding slaw helps a lot – and the bun is nicely toasted – Dogs go for $1.90. They also offer a footlong for $3.00.The Cheeseburger is very good – the patty is rather thin, but the flavor is great – bun is a sesame seed one, and kinda big for the patty. The Cheeseburger will set you back $2.80.FF are crispy and would be pretty good if salted out of the fryer – $1.50. Nice array of additional sandwiches including Blt, Fish, Pork Chop, subs, and more. Service is nice and friendly – grill time is relatively short. Next time, we’ll try some of the plate items.
Agreed. I totally agree with other comments on this great little restaurant. The food is the best in town, and the folks are all very nice. From Miss Vickies cooking to all the waitresses, yes, and even Max. You will not find a better place to dine anywhere. I know, me and my company try to visit there as much as possible. Try it for yourself, you’ll not ne disappointed!!!
Grillville has the best homecooked food that I have ever eaten. I eat there every day. Mack, the owner, only buys the highest grade meats, to make his famous country style steak, so tender you can eat it with a fork. Grillville , also has a daily variety of healthy homecooked vegetables to choose from. Fridays fried flounder platter, is another favorite of mine, big plump pieces of north atlantic flounder, fried while you wait, with fries, slaw, hushpuppies and beverage, only $5.99. I have never tasted a better grilled HOTDOG, with all the fixings. Grllville is known across town, for making the best hotdog around. Mack’s juicy big hamburgers are a compete meal hands down. Add chili fries and you won’t leave hungry. If you eat there once, with the friendly, fun, staff and the delicious home cooked meals, I guarantee you will want to go back again. Located at 902 e. Sprague, behind FOOD LION.
