The food was great. This was our second time and won’t be the last. Had the ol Kentucky sandwich. Delicious.
The Southstreet Burger is amazing. The Salmon Wrap with goat cheese was also incredible. Great comfortable environment with cool decor. Totally worth checking out!
I read a couple of the reviews and I’m shocked. We are regulars at h&h and consider it one if the best, if you like seafood; crabcakes and the tuna are the best around ! Management is very responsive especially, try the Sunday brunch it’s awesome!
Love Certain Menu Items. I come here more for lunch than dinner. I generally get the pinmento cheese/hard boiled egg pizza (sounds crazy but it GREAT!) and the Bayaldi sandwich. I’ve enjoyed other things but these two are consistently good!
Awful. I always wonder if folks that write bad reviews are just crabby, difficult people. I never have taken the time to sign on-create a password, etc. but my experience tonight inspired me to do so. The crab cakes did NOT have the caper sauce that was noted on the menu. Wings were soggy even though we asked for them to be cooked crispy. The meat on the taco salad was chewy as if it had been microwaved. Service was fair at best-dishes left on the table. Management unresponsive. Charming environment but major disappointment. Beware!!!!
Overrated, but ok for a family meal. This restaurant is overrated. It is not one of the best in Winston. The portions are oversized, heavy, and uninspired. It is a good place to take a group of business people or a family with different tastes, but it’s not a place for ‘foodies’.
Eclectic stuff done very well. Had the opportunity to eat here twice while at a convention. Good beer selection, excellent and friendly service and a master chef in the kitchen. The first night I had the cream of crab soup and the seafood norfolk. I grew up on a beach so it was a pleasant surprise to find fresh seafood in the middle of the state that was prepared very well and with it’s own signature. One suggestion: maybe a little easier on the temperature for the seafood norfolk – the pottery it was served in remained very hot and continued to cook the shrimp just a bit too long. Otherwise it was excellent and I really like how the seafood was separated in the dish and the deft touch with the nutmeg on the cream of crab.It was so good I had to return the next night with a few friends. This time I had a delicious lemon-chicken-rice soup, and the shrimp and grits. The grits were formed into triangles and then pan fried , served with a unique sauce for shrimp and grits that featured mushrooms, onions, bacon and hot sauce. The pumpkin cheesecake was tasty. I will definitely return just to keep going through the menu.
