WILL NOT GO BACK. Went for lunch, they sat us at a table up the steps and to the back corner. Thick terrible chips and salsa came quickly and so did the nats! There were so many nats I couldn’t take it. I killed 20 and told them to move us… they tried to move us down the steps and up against the same wall. Nats all over that table too. By then my appetite was gone!! They moved us to a table in the bar area and only have 1 nat! I don’t see that many nats outside! The service was terrible too. They didn’t even act like they were concerned. 1 waiter for all the tables. Sal was nice, but made the excuses for the nats.. Food was not the best… I will stick with Mi Pueblos!
Service was okay, and the food arrived quickly. The chile relleno was pretty terrible — spongy and watery and flavor free. Their tortilla chips were also remarkably thick and crunchy.
Great Food, Horrible Service!. Mixed reviews on how I feel about this restaurant. Food is very good, but staff makes the experience not worth going out. My family has been going there for a couple of years and sometimes the owner Sal and his staff will make you feel very welcomed and the next time they give you the cold shoulder. They seem to be more attentive to large groups and ignore the smaller tables. The older waitress (not the owners wife) is borderline rude. She is not very attentive and comes across as being sarcastic. Margaritas taste watered down, with very little alcohol. This place is a buzz kill all the way around.
The BEST Mexican food around. Period. Fresh ingredients, homemade tortillas and lots of authentic flavor.
Going downhill. The first time we went here the food was great. The best thing about this place is the chips. They are like you used to get in Mexican restaurants before they discovered mass production chips. These are real fried tortilla chips with a super salsa. That said the last two times we were there the food was mediocre at best. Today when we went there we waited 40 minutes…never got our food, never saw our server after they brought us our drinks. When we walked out they made some lame excuse about our ticket fell on the ground. I doubt we’ll be back for a long time.
Ok. Nice dining room.. Had an ok experience here, but as some other reviewers have said, the waitstaff could use some customer service training. The language barrier seems to be an issue and I can understand that, but our waitress was not very attentive. She brought the check over and put it on our table when we were about halfway through the meal. Didn’t ask if we would like dessert or refills. If it had been a busy evening, I might have thought she wanted to rush us out the door, but we were there on a Tuesday and only 3 other tables were occupied. As for our food, it was better than some other local Mexican places. Salsa was good and I liked the thick, crispy chips. Everyone at our table liked our main dishes. We especially liked the option of green chili sauces. We had a side of the spicy sauce and it was fire-y, in a good way. We’ll try it again.
The food was not bad at all at senor bravo. The service, on the other hand, is downright awful. Unless you are hungry for surliness, avoid it (and its manager) at all costs. I was hungry for mexican food, not mexican rude, and will never go back.
