So far the best hibachi I’ve found in winston yet. Much better than ariagato that everyone said to eat. The noodles were a nice touch. The dessert bananas were great.
I have mixed feelings for this restaurant. On the one hand, I know one of the owners and of course want his business to succeed. The decor is beautiful. Very comfortable, free wifi & pretty good drinks. On the other hand, don’t give them your email address. It took me over two years to get off of it. All this after numerous unsuccessful Unsubscribes via email and only after three phone calls. One thing I do line about this restaurant us the noodles. No other Japanese restaurant in the area serve them and I do love noodles! The rest of the food us sub par compared to other Japanese steakhouses. As one reviewer mentioned, if you go and want steak, get the filet. The steak is an extremely poor cut of meat. The shrimp tastes a bit too chewy to me and the soup tastes like warm water after you have washed your dishes in it. This restaurant could be great as evidenced by the decor. However, the management has completely screwed the pooch on the things that really matter. They buy poor quality ingredients and their staff, for the most part should be shown the door. For that matter, someone who really wants to buy a Japanese steakhouse should check this place out. I say this because the current owners seem like they really don’t want to own the restaurant but are instead, looking to start something up and then sell it. Sorry guys, but this is my honest opinion.

Great Food. My family had a great time at this restaurant, it looks like they have new manager very friendly. place was clean and great decor. chef was very entertaining. if you decide dine at Tokyo ask for CHEF JO JO.
Had dinner here last night. All food was very good. I recommend the extra $4 for the filet versus the steak, it’s worth it. The chef could have been a little friendlier and more entertaining but other than this it was enjoyable. I would go back.
