A nice place. I was actually going to vote 4 stars because I didn’t like what I got, but the professional waiter and great atmosphere made up for it! The food was pretty good, not great, but good, but what I got was not what I was in the mood for. That being said my party enjoyed everything and thought it all was refined and with great flavor. Their wine was most appreciated!
We were planning on eating at Little Richards BBQ on Country Club Road tonight and saw a new restaurant, Tre Nonne, on the way. On the spur of the moment, we decided to give it a try – and we are glad we did. Tre Nonne has some of the freshest food I have ever had. Everything tastes like it was made from scratch. The veal marsala and shrimp fra diavolo were both outstanding. You could actually taste the wine in the marsala sauce – I would have preferred it to be thicker, but the flavor was outstanding. The shrimp in the fra diavolo were large and juicy, with no tails. I would have preferred to have a choice of pasta, however, like at O’so down the street. The salads were very fresh too, but again, there was a limited selection of salad dressings (only 3 to choose from). The tiramisu was good – thicker and less custardy than most, but a bit dear at $7 a pop. The decor is nondescript, but clean and nice enough. The owners were very friendly and genuinely wanted to make sure we had a good experience. Overally, my only real complaint with Tre Nonne is the relatively limited menu compared to O’so, for example. Tre Nonne’s menu fits on one page, while O’so has several pages. Similarly, why offer one type of pasta when you can let the customer choose from several? The same goes for salad dressings and sides. Those caveats aside, I highly recommend Tre Nonne based on the high quality of the food and the top notch service.
