Somewhat Disappointed. Very disappointed with the chicken souvlaki. I was expecting a quality sandwich, but what I got was a pita containing mostly lettuce more than anything else, especially meat. My wife got a salad and it looked pretty good, but my dish was not what I was expecting.

Chicken salad sandwich. Whatever you do, DON’T GET THE CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICH!!!! Should be expunged from the menu. Otherwise, a good restaurant with good good.

One of our favorites. But we miss the queso fundido appetizer!!! Bring it back!!My husband almost always orders the black bean burrito and I waver between the veggie burger, House Salad Special, and occasionally one of the dinner entrees. The servers are so great – they know us by now and are friendly and accomodating. Wonderful place to bring children!
Lunch better than dinner?. I really enjoy eating here, but much rather do so for lunch than dinner. I ordered a Caribbean Jerk Grilled Chicken sandwiches both times and it was like night and day differences. The Lunch sandwich was juicy thick fresh chicken breast grilled to perfection, the dinner version was the thinnest, most pounded out piece of chicken I have ever seen. I ate there 2 times in the same week so I would really expect the same quality of food. I really do look forward to going back, but hoping for the sandwich I had for lunch, not for dinner. Prices are good, staff is almost all very good, it’s just the food quality that is hit or miss.
New Orleans Style Shrimp Po Boys in Winston?. I was skeptical that I’d find a New Orleans style Shrimp Po Boy worth eating anywhere else after spending 7 years of my life in the Nawlin’s area. West End Cafe has delivered! It’s hard to get really fresh shrimp this far inland, but this sandwich does not disappoint!
