Excellent atmosphere, service, and food. Hubby and I went here for the first time for our anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed. The server (forgot her name but she had very long dark hair) was amazing! I got the beef tenderloin (I know, it’s a seafood restaurant) with scallops. The beef was tender and flavorful and the scallops were perfectly seared and spiced with an aromatic seasoning that was just perfect with the robust fall flavors of the red wine reduction, potato cakes, and pumpkin butter. The portions were better than I expected for an upscale restaurant. Hubby got the flounder wrapped in prosciutto. It was a huge cut of fish and perfectly cooked. We ordered the key lime pie and chocolate mouse for dessert. I was hesitant about the pie because it seems to appear on every restaurant dessert menu. However, it was fabulous. My hubby couldn’t stop talking about. The chocolate mouse was huge and rich and we took half of it home. Delicious. If you are looking for a fine dining experience and you love seafood (or steak), go to 1618!
