I am so disappointed. This was one of my favorite restaurants. The service was awful but he was also the only server so not his fault totally. The meal was oily. I got a salad instead of 2 sides and got up charged $1 and then told I was one of the lucky ones because they don’t usually do that. As I went to pay for my $11 not-so-good, horrible service meal(I had to ask for the check 3 times), I told the owner that they should get help for the waiter as he is behind doing this alone. Her response, she started yelling at me about Obama and how it’s all his fault. Well ma’am, I am no fan of Obama BUT I can assure you our president has nothing to do with your restaurants bad service or bad, overpriced food. You have lost a customer and I would advise others not to go.
Not impressed! The food was ok very overpriced! The grilled chicken was something i could’ve made at home…the red sangria was basically a glass full of ice with a small amount of red wine..I’m shocked this place is still open they really need to step it up i will not be returning.
Delicious!. I have been eating at this restaurant for several years now. Sometimes am there for lunch 2-3 times a week, and once a week for dinner. ALWAYS delicious. The family who own and run the business are wonderful and make me feel like family. Wait staff is always great as well. All of the dishes I have ordered have been great. The Acropolis is a well kept secret that needs to be found by more diners!
Superb. Our first meal at the Acropolis has us hooked. The food was simply outstanding. The salad with the House dressing was amazing, and then we feasted upon today’s special, the Tilapia–absolutely fabulous. The place is pleasantly laid back, the wait staff is efficient and pleasant, and the food (at least on this visit) is to-dream-about. We are not Greensboro residents, but we will be back on a regular basis.
One of our favorites. We can always count on having good food and drink as well as friendly service. We come back again and again.
Nope. Sad to say it was a total disappointment. Took my wife there last night for our 5th wedding anniversary, had the appetizer (our third choice as they were out of the first 2 choices) and left. For claiming to be the PREMIER greek restaurant in Greensboro, I’d have to say false advertising….NO flaming cheese dish, NO kalamaria, NO lamb chops, and my flatware was wrapped in dirty linen. The greek sampler we settled for was by no means fresh made food. Oh well, live and learn. We shan’t be returning.
We go there regularly for this sandwich. It is perfect and the service is wonderful. The woman who seems to work there all the time is very nice and remembers us. We go as a family and we all order the Gyro. Also we order, my daughter, orders a pita bread to go for the next day. They are so delicious.
