BAD SERVICE AND WORSE BURGER. Glad a new burger joint on our side of town. Today, I walked in and order as follows-Small cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. What type of pickles do you have? Her smart ass reply was GREEN, I said, NO (and then spoke very slowly), are they sweet or sour? Another curt reply- DILL. I guess I needed to be psychic, Then she asked if I wanted cheese on my cheeseburger and was I building my own burger and had to repeat my original request.. Sad to report, the burger reeked and tasted like GAS. However, the bun was great and I loved it. I would have put up with the poor customer service, if the food had been good. But when both are bad, I do not give it a second chance.
NOT GOOD ANYMORE! ONCE WAS……. My family has eaten Big Burger Spot many times in the past and have always enjoyed our meal until today. I ordered the same thing I always do (The Carolina with no onions and extra cheese). I was very disappointed with my cheeseburger today! There was barely any chili and that is no over exaggeration. I couldn’t believe it, I could barely even detect it on there. Also my extra cheese was barely there as well. It was a lot of mustard and meat! The problem with restaurants that become very popular is that they get too busy and can’t keep up with the quality that they have had in the past. I believe that is what has happened here. Apparently we aren’t the only ones that are unhappy. My husband said that while in line other people were complaining and one lady was giving him other suggestions that she liked to replace The Big Burger Spot. What a shame, because we really used to enjoy the food!
First Burger in Greensboro. Don’t let the location deceive you, this place is awesome. It’s located in a gas station, or I guess you could say connected to one. I ordered the Backyard BBQ burger and a side a sweet potato waffle fries. The burger was grilled perfectly and was nicely seasoned. The BBQ sauce was tangy and complimented the bacon and crispy onions. The fries were also delicious, they make a homemade sweet sauce that tastes like liquid apple pie. I will definitely be back, and often.
Yes, the burgs are the best around, but I don’t want to be the umpteenth guy to expound on that. What you must try, on anything, is their homemade pimento cheese. I honestly believe they could operate a successful restaurant selling nothing more than their pimento bacon hot dogs–they are THAT good!
