Just got back from purchasing a plain NY cheesecake (our favorite!) from Cheesecakes by Alex and have serious doubts about returning. From past experience, I’m sure the cake will be delicious, but the staff was a horrible combination of incompetence and sullenness. When we asked about which size would be best, we were greeted with what can best be described as the preteen silent treatment. Eventually we got a response but it was clear that we were bothering the person behind the counter. It only got worse from there including such bad (dangerous?) advice that we could thaw and refreeze the cheesecake several times. They have recently expanded, and my sense is they have decided to trade volume for quality. That’s too bad, but life is too short to put up with such rudeness.
Now that was Good Cheesecake!!! My wife loved it! It was a great close to a wonderful night!!
Yum!. When I’m too lazy to make it myself, this is the best place in Greensboro to go for cheesecake. The key lime and creme brulee are my favorites!
This place is amazing!!!! I’ve been going to Alex’s for 3 years now and I wouldn’t pick any other place for my sweet tooth cravings. This is also a beautiful place to take a date or even just a friend.
Impressed. I stopped by a local grocery store on Monday when I was in Greensboro and the old man chatted my ear off about various restaurants and places to try in the area. He suggested a pub down the street from this place.The pub food was mediocre at best, but because of where I had to park, I ended up passing by Cheesecakes By Alex twice.Deciding to make up for the abysmal meal I stopped in and got some chocolate cheesecake monstrosity and took it back to my hotel room.It was very good and I’m a little ashamed to say that had it not been so late on a Thursday I would have gone back for seconds. But since I had to leave for Indy in a few hours I just decided to leave it as is and catch some shut eye.If I’m ever in the area I’ll stop by here again.
Great cheesecakes but also by far the best cannolis in Greensboro! They might want introduce new types of cheesecake, I’ve seen the same for the last few years.
Perfect!. Delishious cheesecakes in a variety of options. I have only had the opportunity to try 2-3 but would like to try several other options offered. The store itself is very small and cramped but the product speaks for itself.
