Fantastic, fresh food. My husband and I went to China Buffet in Greensboro at 5 o’clock on a Saturday. We had never been there before and chose it because we were close by. We walked in and immediately I was reminded of the luxury of Las Vegas, the way the ceiling is inset with a disk of blue and night time stars. I counted not three, not five, but ten different islands of food! There were tons of food of all kinds. I’m a big fan of fish, and when I saw their sushi layout I was amazed. I filled a plate just by taking one of each kind of sushi! It was all amazingly fresh; as I was taking sushi the chef put out another tray. The rice was so nice and soft, and the fish was fresh. My husband commented on how fresh their chicken wings were when we were sitting down. I then proceeded to try a lot of the non-sushi food, and was impressed with how everything had a distinct temperature. The chicken was hot, the cake was cold: everything was the temperature it was supposed to be because it had been placed down so recently. This is by far the best Chinese buffet experience I’ve ever had. We were both kind of nervous as the check came because based on the opulence of the setting we expected it might cost more than the lower quality Chinese buffets we’d been to. But it was only $25 for both of us! I’m not sure how they do it for such low cost. I definitely ate that amount in fresh sushi alone. What a great value for the money. My parents are coming in from out of state in a few weeks and they’re big fans of Chinese buffet. I intend to take them here and expect them to be super happy :)Will definitely go again, will definitely recommend to friends.
Yuck. Nothing seemed fresh. The chicken dishes tasted like the chicken was on the verge of going bad when it was prepared. Good variety of foods, but very poor quality. I hope I don’t get sick
My chinese buffet go-to. My favorite part of this place is the made to order hibachi grill. i can even get it with fried egg in it! (a rarity in the south) There’s a huge variety and typically fresh food is brought out regularly, but I have noticed it doesn’t happen so quickly when business is slower.
I have eaten at every Chinese buffet in gboro over the past few decades and I must say that China buffet is the best value and variety to ever have existed in this city. Quality is good for the price and the reviews that gripe on it are really unrealistic, for the price it is a great place to take the family. The ice cream is real and the sushi variety is Americanized but vast. Well done China buffet.
