Just Like Lox, Stock, and Bagel. This is not a NYC style deli – they don’t cure their own meats, for example & and the service isn’t nearly as cranky – but still they offer a nice array of meats, cheeses, home made salads, and sandwiches. Like their counterpart off Battleground (Lox, Stock, and Bagel – the menus are virtually identical),they use Boars Head products, and they are all good. Their egg salad and tuna salad are excellent, their chicken salad is not my favorite. As I said, the sandwiches are very good. The kraut dog is especially good. Speciality sqndwiches like The Italian Sailor, The Sailor, the Reuben, the Italian Sub, and the Harrison and the Knickerbocker are all excellent. They have nice bread choices. Good solid deli.The parking lot is small, and it can be a mess during peak hours, especially when UNCG is in full term.
Best Sandwich Place in Greensboro. This is one of the best sandwich places I have come across. Their prices are reasonable. They have something on the menu for anyone, and even my pickiest friends have found something they loved on the menu. The service is always excellent. I like the fact that you can get carrot sticks as a healthy alternative with a sandwich and the fruit and bagel plate is a full and delicious meal.
