Cheap is right. If you don’t have a discriminating palate or mind a place so dark on the inside it feels like you walked into your college friends basement pad or ashtrays all over the outdoor patio, then this is the place for you. One step above a biker bar, maybe. Oh wait, there was a biker sitting outside. Thus explaining the ashtrays I suppose. Cajun burger was unremarkable. Potato salad was horrendous. No flavor and texture was like a cat hairball. Perfectly good waste of six bucks and change and my Saturday lunch break. Going back to Hops next time! No actually I’m going right now, I’m still hungry and my taste buds are completely unsatisfied.
Fabulous Blue Cheese Burger. There are two items of chow that are especially OUTSTANDING at this great little restaurant. One is the Blue Cheese Burger and the other is their potato salad. I have tried several other sandwiches that I believe are excellent but I keep coming back to my favorite. The potato salad has a perfect blend of dill to make it a killer! Always love coming to this great little restaurant. Very nice wait staff and the ice tea is perfect! My mouth is watering so I’m headed to Fishers! Later!

Nieghborohood Bar With Some Good Food. This is a really nice neighborohood bar and grill with great pub food, good prices on beer, and friendly service. There seem to be a fair number of regulars, the walls are loaded with sports memorabilia, the menu is posted on the walls, and the place is kind of small, and funky as to decore, all of which underscore that neighborhood bar feeling.I think their burgers are among the best in Greensboro, their hot dog not so much. The Fried Bbologna Sandwich contains a really thick cut of meat, and is nicely done. The normal pub food items are nice, wings and such, as are the salads. They offer steak and seafood, but I’ve never gone beyond the sandwiches, fries, wings, and beer – they run some nice specials on the beers.If you like a small, friendly Cheers kind of place, you’ll like this bar. Couple of points, the parking can be problematic at times – there is on street parking, ande there is a lot in the back of the place, but you don’t see it from N Elm street. It is a small place, and the nights they have live music it can be really crowded and loud.
Great neighborhood bar and grill. One of the best deals in greensboro. I regularly go on thursdays and leave spending 20 bucks for a burger, fries a few drinks and the tip. Chris and Amanda treat their customers right, I’ve tried 3/4 of the menu and never had something I didn’t like.
