I have not eaten here In years and now I remember why. Gyro meat tastes frozen and microwaved. Very bland. Lettuce had a taste of chlorine or some chemical. What a waste of money and bad representation of Mediterranean food. Go to Sarah’s kabob shop on market. Better gyros and subs. Falafels are different since its middle eastern but, much better all around than ghassans.

Very bland and yucky.. I have to say that the Gyro and Steak sub actually taste bad here. I mean, I wouldn’t eat these any day of the weak. The gyro meat is the cheap kind that comes frozen in long skinny slices and the steak sub just tastes bad. Yuck.

As a self-proclaimed cheesesteak connoisseur I felt I had no choice but to try Ghassan’s based on all the hype generated by Yes! Weekly and other Google search results. I must say I’m not impressed. I don’t have anything negative to say about the place, very fast & friendly service but if this is the best cheesesteak in Greensboro I may have to travel to the surrounding areas next time I’m craving. Aside from the lack of size & cheese, peppers aren’t standard and cost $0.50 if you want them added. Last I checked cheese, onions, peppers and steak were the essentials in a cheesesteak. It’s time for someone else to claim the title.
