One of the best.. This place has great food. The sandwiches are out of this world good. The Italian sausage is dynamite. If you want them to slice up some ham or provolone cheese they can do that for you too. Their meats are so good. I love the soppresatta sticks they have for sale their too. It’s not cheap to get a sandwhich and a drink (without a side) but it’s just so freakin good it doesn’t matter.

This is a great place for Italian sausage, meatballs, mozzarella cheese–all homemade. The salads are ok and they need better bread for the subs. But overall pretty good.

This is a hidden treasure! My first time here I was a little overwhelmed at all the choices. I came in for a sandwich but was intrigued by all the side dishes, desserts, Italian sodas, cookies, cheeses, meats, sausages…the list goes on and on. If you ask they will also let you try most of their dishes. They have all the ingredients to make pretty much any Italian dish ready to go! The prices are also reasonable for the quality that you get.

Italian? Here it is!!!. I’m Irish but I married into a great Italian family in upstate NY 40 years ago. We love the Carolinas, and no offense to any of y’all, but really good Italian is still very hard to find anywhere south of DC. So, do-it-yourself is still the preference of many former yankees.Giacomo’s is the only place that I’ve found, so far, to go for the best Italian ingredients in Greensboro.

Giacomo’s Italian Market: Less is more at this small Italian market. Less is more at this small Italian market. Stepping into Giacomo’s is like walking into a family owned Italian deli in New York City. There are meats hanging from the ceiling, cheeses lining the display cases, fresh sausages and meatballs are piled high, and take home meals are in the glass front refrigerator. The menu is written on the chalk board behind the counter. It is important to note that the items are a la carte, so if you want chips, make sure to grab a bag as you are ordering. Guests order, pick up meals, and pay at the counter. No frills, no fuss; just good food and friendly service. For lunch, we chose the Italian Stallion and sausage with peppers subs. Both subs arrived on freshly baked, crusty submarine rolls. The sandwiches are served in paper lined plastic baskets. The Italian Stallion came topped with freshly sliced genoa salami, capicola, provolone cheese, onion, oregano, oil and vinegar (also available with lettuce and tomato). The freshness and pureness of the meats was incredible. The tanginess of the vinegar and creaminess of the cheese was the perfect complement to the meat. The bread was crusty on the outside but slightly soft on the inside. The sandwich was terrific. Advertisement The sausage and peppers sub was equally delicious. The pieces of sausage are sliced into diagonal rounds. The sausages are spiced perfectly with a good fennel flavor. The sausages, peppers, and onions are all sauted in a small amount of tomato sauce. This preparation only adds to great flavor of Giacomo’s sausages The sub roll was slightly larger than the one used for the Italian Stallion. The crustiness and quality of the bread was consistent in both sandwiches. You’ve probably passed Giacomo’s Italian Market during your daily commute or running errands in the area. Make sure you stop by and have lunch or pick up a quick dinner. You will not be disappointed.

This is a true Italian deli anything you could want handmade only downside is they don’t make pizza and that it’s a really small place but that also is nice in a way. So thumbs up from me.
