Delicious!!! A Must Try!. After skipping out on a not so appetizing continental breakfast at our hotel, we decided to give Jakes Diner a try. To our delight, our waitress was friendly, their abundant menu had great prices, and they have an excellent diner style breakfast! In the mood for something different? They serve Neese’s liver pudding fried to a crisp, substitute grits for their awesome hasbrowns, two eggs, and a buttery biscuit! I promise you won’t regret it!
Wonderful service and food. I have the grilled chicken and baked potato try the brocolli casserole. Grilled pork chop good too
Classic Blue Plates. Beef Tips on Rice, Chicken Fried Steak, Rings, and a Shake. Great comfort food and a great value that comes with fast attentive service is what you will get at Jakes. The servings are large and hot and the menu is varied. I only come at lunch or dinner, so I know I am missing out on a great breakfast since their menu is focused on the first meal of the day. Convenient to I-40 at Wendover and near at least a half dozen hotels.
Make sure you don’t use the drive thru unless you check your entire order. And the manger is not nice. Food was okay btw.
Don’t bother…. Gross food, dirty feeling environment, inattentive waitstaff, average prices….a recipe for disappointment. It’s like cheap, badly microwaved school cafeteria food.
I’m a fan. Open late, the food is tasty and inexpensive, and the banana pudding is AMAZING! Always had fast and friendly service when I’ve been here.
Jake’s is the best diner group in Greensboro. Great breakfast; great burgers. BUT… Skip the Wendover location – the service there is consistently awful! The Holden Road location has the same great menu, but also has great service.
