Sports Bar With Petty Good Food, But Loud. What you see is what you get – this is a sports bar, and the music is loud, all the myriad of big screen TV’s are on (muted at Monday lunch)and the place gets busy. There are single eaters at the bar; twos, threes, or fours in the booths; communal tables of 8 or more. There are blue jeans, shorts, flip flops, uniforms, and suits; young and seasoned – and the attractive, mostly short-wearing waitresses fly around the restaurant. The food is typical sports bar/pub food – heavy on the burgers, appetizers and sandwiches, with a few salads and some plates of fried seafood and such. Decent beer selection, including Stella on draft (a pint for $5.50).Firehouseburger ($7.59) is huge – comes with Pepper Jack cheese, jalapenos, fried onions, and is loaded with flavor, comes with a side of FFs. The Italian Sub ($8.79) is also excellent – great crusty sub roll, nice amount of meat and cheese, also comes with a side. The FFs are great, as well.Food is excellent, service is very good, music is very loud, but can be tolerated. We’ll be back.
I recently visited Kickback Jacks with my extended family for dinner. Our table had 6 adults and a toddler. We started with our drinks and some boneless wings and cheese sticks to share while we looked over the overcrowded menu that gives the impression that they must not be good at one thing since they offer near everything. The restaurant was not overly packed, we were sat immediately and had a few vacant tables around us. About 15 minutes later our waitress finally returned with our drinks and although we all had our menus closed she still didn’t ask what we would like to order. Another large chunk of time passed and our apps were delivered yet again the waitress, who didn’t deliver the food, was nowhere to be found. Once the apps were gone and about 35 minutes had passed since we arrived we finally placed our order. At this point I decided to start a stopwatch on my phone to see how long it would take. 23 minutes later half of the tables food was delivered. I had a burger with bacon and BBQ sauce on it, yet using my table manners I waited for the rest of the food to arrive. My uncle ordered a chicken salad sandwich and his food had still not arrived a good 8 minutes after mine, which is just horrible. I decided to go ahead and eat my cold burger, turned cold from the 8 minutes sitting in front of me and the 10+ minutes it probably sat in the window on the kitchen line. I’ve worked in restaurants, I know how it works. When I finished my burger and my uncles sandwich had still not arrived I realized this place had some major issues. I have no intentions on returning to this restaurant nor would I recommend to anyone looking for a good meal. I do admit it’s a great atmosphere for watching football games, but football season is almost over and they’re going to need to work on their food quality and service if they plan on sticking around for the long haul.
If you want to watch a ballgame with no sound, drink expensive beer, and not hear a single word your friends are saying… Then this is the place for you!!
Well this is a hooters want to be!!!!! Nothing wrong but it is really intimidating. I feel this is a place for hoes. No offence.
Nice ambiance…but that’s it. It’s too expensive for sandwiches, subs, wraps, etc. Portions are small compared to other places like Applebees and TGIF. If you want to spend $20 on a sub and a beer to see a game I guess you could throw your money away here.
Not going to last: manager too money hungry. This is my story in a nutshell. I ordered Tequila 1800 2 seperate shots and a friend ordered a double shot of the same liquor. My bill was $4.25 more since I didn’t order my shots double. The manager pretty much bs me and justified over pricing. The food is average and is my first and last time there. I work too hard to hand my money to crooks in a white collar. He didn’t even try to compensate for the irregularity in pricing and offered no adjustment on my bill. I will be notifying corporate. Watch your bill and ask before you purchase liquor. I’d rather go to Darryl’s where I’m treated like a valued customer and enjoy even better food! The decor isn’t worth being cheated!
I guess it’s my fault for coming in at 10:30pm but I’ve been sitting at the bar watching the bartenders clean for the past 8 minutes now and I can see my ceasar salad sitting in the window with the dressing on the side. Nobody seems to be concerned with bringing it to me. Guess they have somewhere to be. I might go grab it myself. I’m starving, they don’t know though because they’ve barely paid any attention. 10 minutes now he brings it. Quesadilla arrived at the same time. I can’t lie, it looks good
