Chef rarely eats out. Young kids, work in a kitchen, so we rarely go out. Mimi’s always has great sushi that we can afford. Cheers to them!
Good food, good price. Tried Mimi’s for the first time for lunch today. I was in and out with my food in about 5 minutes. Some people complain about .50 for an extra sauce, but the one free one was plenty sufficient for my hibachi chicken. I thought everything tasted great and the portion size was more than I thought I was going to get for under $5. I don’t drink tea, so i did have to pay an extra $1 for a canned soda. Will definitely eat here again soon.
Good food fast. Good sushi. Overall the prices are quite inexpensive, the rolls are relatively small, but plenty for what they cost. The lunch special is the best deal. The miso soup is less than two dollars for a container as large as your average order of soup from chinese delivery, but it’s only got a little bit of seaweed in it so if that’s your favorite part it’s not super. As to all these complaints over a 50 cent charge for extra sauce, there’s a large sign on the register now explaining their sauce policy. My guess is that since they are quite a bargain for the amount and quality of food you get, that it’s necessary.
While I love their food and especially their sushi it upsets me when I started getting charged .50 per sauce when they did not used to do that. Don’t know why all of a sudden they changed this, but not a good decision.
Extremely Slow Delivery. While the food is good for the price and it’s great that Mimi’s take flex. I have never had such slow delivery service. As I write this I’ve been waiting for an hour and 30 minutes waiting for TWO sushi rolls. I’ve convinced myself that they actually go catch the fish themselves before making the sushi. After calling to check on my order I was told it was on it’s way…that was 30 minutes ago. I live about a mile away. If you have a few hours to let your stomach rumble…choose Mimi’s. If you would rather eat when you are actually wanting to eat…choose elsewhere.
Great hibachi. I usually get the Shrimp and Chicken Hibachi. It’s about $9.00. The lunch special is $4.25 (one entree).
