Sub-par mexican food at a good price. I should preface this by saying this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Greensboro, but that is not saying a whole lot. Here, you get what you pay for. The food is consistent, quick, inexpensive, and is a good place to take your family for those exact reasons. But, this place offers very little else because the place must sacrifice quality for all those aforementioned perks. If you are looking for good Mexican food in Greensboro, cook it at home, because you are not likely to find it out on the town. The flavors are bland, the ingredients are cheap, the atmosphere wretched. I don’t mean to come across as a snob, or some aficionado of Mexican cuisine, but I can definitely tell good from bad, and this place is definitely teetering on the side of the bad. If I sound sour, it is because I am so consistently disappointed with the quality of restaurants in my home town.
Nice Tex-Mex, Great Service. This place is nice for lunch or dinner. it is a little dark, and at dinner the squall of ankle biters is apparent. I would think, personally, that spicy food would give them the wind, but family is as family does, and we all clean up together.The Carnitas are excellent – moist, tender, seasoned perfectly, with a nice crust from the last step in the process. The accompanying items are well balanced, hot, mild, cold. The enchiladas are excellent – all of them – but the beef is out of sight. The rice & beans are – rice & beans, but done well. The Burrito California is beyond nice, and if you do not take some home, you may need to see a counselor.The service is without out peer – and Jerson is the very best. Ask for him, he will do you right. This is a great place for Tex-Mex..
How is this place different than the other Mexican restaurants in the area?. I still can’t find how the food here is any different than other half assed Mexican places (aka Pablanos). Feels Tex Mexy.
We wanted a new mexican restaurant. Hands down..this is the best one in Greensboro. Huge menu. Decent prices. I had the broccoli chicken and my fiance had beef tacos. Both dishes were prepared quickly and accurately. Everything tasted great! Quick and attentive service. Quick seating for a busy friday night at 7:30.. we only had to wait about 15 minutes. They are kid friendly, the table full of kids next to us were having the best time for their little friends birthday. This will be our new regular mexican restaurant.
Really good authentic Mexican food. Better variety of choices than I see at most Mexican restaurants. The shrimp and chicken fajita nachos were outstanding! Definitely gonna eat here again and again.
Mexican food is fairly consistent in this area … What sets apart a good Mexican restaurant for me is the service. I felt unwelcome in this restaurant. Unfriendly people. Waiter smelled like last bath was over a month ago.
Good service. Sister food came later than everyone else but waiter was very honest about the mistake.
