Don’t let the deep purple color of the building turn you off, this place rocks the Cajun dishes. The Jambalaya, Gumbo, and Red Beans and Rice were excellent. The seafood trio could have been a little fresher, but the scampi sauce was heaven. Hush puppies and fish and chips not bad either.
Great service. Let me say this; I have never tasted a good jambalaya as I have at this location. I’ve tried a variety of the dishes here ranging from the crab legs to the Po Boy sandwich and let me tell you, it doesn’t get any better than this outside of New Orleans. I go to UNCG and was told about this place by my friends who go every week. As a college student I don’t have much money to spare, but when I do I don’t mind getting a Hurricane mixed drink and a brownie with ice cream from this location. I would recommend anyone who’s reading this review to give the place a try before making a judgement. One of the most pleasant surprises in my life here in Greensboro.
Really bad food and service. My family went here a few months ago since we are always willing to try a new place for seafood. Awful – the food had no taste. I mean seriously – no taste. Served lukewarm. Took forever. Not sure who owns this place but I am surprised that they are still open. I assume they are surviving on bar business? When I was there, quite a few employees were just hanging at the bar drinking. This place is a joke.
Not Good. Ate here in February 2015. Waited about 45 minutes for steak that was very fatty and way over cooked. They use the same spice on each seafood item. I would not recommend eating here. it was dirty inside. The bathroom still has painters tape all over it and is falling apart. It looks like they haven’t taken steps to maintain the place.
Horrible Guest Service. Was a loyal guest until tonight. Will never return due to the poor customer service of Brad the manager tonight.
Love it. My husband and I chose this place for our date night location. Looking at the menu, the prices was what we expected (Expensive). But the food was EXCELLENT. the garlic mussel was GREAT. I Had fried Alligator and my husband had the King Crab legs. I must say we BOTH was VERY full when we left. Our waitress was very professional and kind. Even the manager came but our table to make sure we were ok. I’m VERY pleased with this restaurant and I like it more then Red Lobster. Will be going back for my birthday.
Watch a game and grab a meal. Found this spot right across the street from where I was staying (Hilton Garden Inn). Ordered a special which included Salad, Crab cake, and a T-bone steak. Enjoyed a nice dinner while watching some basketball at the bar. Crab cake was highlight and T-bone was pretty good too. Try the local IPA and other beers on draft. Friendly bartender was attentive and greeters at door were friendly.
