Best Thai restaurant! If you know what true Thai food tastes like, you will be very pleased. The staff is courteous and always ready to get what you need. The basil chicken and red curry with chicken is my favorite and the Thai tea is awesome.

I have never written a bad review in my life but I want to save others from making the same mistake we made. I moved from Brooklyn to Greensboro last month with my boyfriend and I have to say we have had great culinary experiences so far so this review is not coming from a New Yorker who thinks good food does not exist outside of New York. My boyfriend received his first paycheck today from his new job and we wanted to celebrate, but not spend a ton of money since we are saving for a house and wedding. Thai food is always our go to food when we are hungry (both of us had skipped lunch) and broke. I have been to at least 20 different Thai restaurants in the New York area and have never had really bad Thai food. Some places are amazing, some are decent, but they are never terrible. We read a bunch of reviews before going and this place seemed to be the favorite in the area. The word authentic seems to be used a lot so we figured that this was the place to try.We arrived and were immediately pleased with the ambiance. It looked cute and clean so we sat down and ordered a Sapporo. Our waitress brought us frosty mugs for our beer which we greatly appreciated. Everything seemed great until the food arrived. We ordered the fried pork wontons for an appetizer. They tasted like the fried noodles you usually get at the beginning of your meal. In fact my boyfriend thought that thats what they were until I pointed out the peanut size piece of pork inside. I have never had wontons that tasted like that in my life and when I say that the piece pork was the size of a peanut that is no exaggeration. They have the nerve to charge $6 for that!Next came our entrees: I ordered the Pad See Ew and my boyfriend ordered the Pud Thai. Pad See Ew is suppose to be made with broad flat rice noodles. My dish was made with what looked and tasted like fettuccine. I tasted no garlic (or any other flavor for that matter), there was no egg, the broccoli was steamed (not stir fried in the sauceoh yeah there was barely any sauce), and the chicken was overcooked. The Pud Thai had the same overcooked chicken and lack of flavor, but at least they used rice noodles. Both dishes were $10.95 I believe which is average for New York (although most places I would frequent only charged $8.95), but in general the prices in Greensboro are a lot more reasonable so $10.95 seemed a little pricey to us. Our waitress also left much to be desired. She did not do anything overtly offensive, but she just seemed indifferent. For example she spilled water on the table and said sorry, but made no effort to clean it up. This probably would not have bothered us that much if the food was decent. It just added to our dissatisfaction. I so badly wanted to say something to the manager or waitress, but my boyfriend who is a chef and never wants to offend anyone in the food industry just wanted to leave. He changed his mind and told me to write this review after he spent the past hour in the bathroom. If anyone can let us know a good place in Greensboro to get Thai food that would be much appreciated! We love Thai food (our first date was at a Thai restaurant) and we know there has to be a great place that we have not discovered yet! Is it possible this place is under new management? I do not understand the good reviews.
