Good, not great Indian food. I might have given it a higher score if the prices were lower relative to the quality of food you get. I much prefer Taza…

Fantastic. 1st tine in Greensboro and had to find the best of 3 Indian reataurant suggestions. Did not go wrong. The chicken kabobs were perfect and the Pala chicken was absolute perfection (like saag/spinach chicken) Highly recommended.
The rest of my Saffron review. I was impressed by the selection of vegetable dishes and the goat (I love goat!!) and chicken (tikki masala, korma, and tandori) dishes. We both ate our fill and had drinks (Pepsi, lemonade) for under $23.00. I was very pleased with the value, service and quality of the food for the price we paid. I can’t wait to get back to Greensboro to eat at Saffron again!!09 Oct, 2014We love it!. My husband and I visited Saffron for the lunch buffet on 10/2/14. We were very pleasantly surprised by the decor of the restaurant which is located in a newer restaurant/business/retail complex off Westover Terrace in Greensboro. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the door by a server who helped (I’m in a wheelchair.) open the door and a server who seated us immediately. Our drink orders were taken and delivered directly. We were then shown to the buffet area where my husband noticed naan!! (His all time favorite Indian food!!) I was impressed by the selection of vegetable dishes cont.
We love the food here. But when I showed up for a quick late lunch at 2:18pm we were politely told the restaurant was closed. Even with trays full of food that is going to thrown out (or recycled for dinner?!) frustrating–if you’re going to closed at 2:15 and not 2:30 then change your sign!
Good Lunch, Needs a little Kick though!. Saffron’s lunch buffet is decently priced and has a good variety. The restaurant is usually busy at lunch so the food stays fresh and doesn’t sit there for a long time. The fresh Naan is fantastic. My only complaint with the lunch buffet is there is nothing with a real kick of spiciness. When I get Indian food I expect at least a little bit of heat. I know with buffets they have to be careful to appease everyone, but one spicy dish would be nice! Overall though, the food quality is good. The flavors are there and you can try a nice variety of different dishes. The Mango Lassi was awesome too! Service was attentive and kept our drinks full. No complaints there! Worth a try if you want something different than a typical Chinese buffet.
MEDIOCRE! many dishes taste the same (some don’t even taste Indian)…poor buffet setup (causes confusion) – Tandoori in G-boro has much better food (although a crappy atmosphere with no patrons, but no congestion at the buffet)
Love! Love! Love! My favorite place to dine in Greensboro, simply amazing! I typically order the Tikka Massalla Chicken or Lamb, I intend on trying every menu item, but I get pulled back to the most amazing Tilka every time! Hands down the best Indian!
Great!. Love this place for lunch. I play a game when I go, try to drink you water ALL THE WAY EMPTY, doesn’t happen!
