Really good Vietnamese food. The rolls are really good. So is the chicken lemongrass. My all-time favorite is the shrimp with ginger in clay pot. Unfortunately, the quality has become very inconsistent. One time the shrimp were so over cooked that I could not eat them. The restaurant is also not as clean as it used to be. The bathrooms are dirty which makes me worry. I hope the restaurant cleans up and regains its consistency.

Terrible. This place has really change since I first started coming about 10 years ago. The food used to be great and exotic and now bitter and unpleasant. I remembered it being family oriented with the two brothers Ducky ( the happy always singing one) and Nick (the one that you can spark a conversation with) and I think it was Donny who was the chef in the back occasionally with their mom helping out. But since being back within the past 3 years about 6 or more times I haven’t seen Ducky or Nick and a sudden price surge along with the once massive selection of wine into a measly low end that you would get at an Asian buffet. Ducky once told me he had accommodated the best wine for the food that the restaurant prepared and always could recommend you a good glass with whatever you ordered. The waitstaff is also a disappointment, the once joyful restaurant has turned dull and ignorant to what it used to be it. I used to carry a lengthy conversation with everyone who had took my order and brought me my food to now have this sad face waitress who couldn’t give me a recommendation and rushed for me to order just to go back to the bar and gawked at me. I think it turn into a all female waitstaff because Brandon and Will doesn’t work here anymore just untrained waitresses that seems to have their mindset elsewhere. My recent visits has made me decided to never come back since the food and service has lost it zing and it took almost 30 minutes for me to bring me my food just to be cold and they forgot to bring me my rice, when I ask if they can heat it up she made a mean gesture and took it back I could hear the waitress (by the way an older lady) in the back yelling and saying I was a picky customer. I was mad and didn’t even ask for my rice paid my bill and left. To conclude you have lost yourself a longtime customer.
So disappointed. This place was recommended in Saveur magazine. We drove 30 min out of our way. I like salt but my ginger chicken cooked in clay pot was very salty and no clay pot. Crab and asparagus soup, had very little crab and dried onions over powered the broth. Fresh spring rolls served with hoisin sauce and not traditional peanut sauce as described on menu. I do not know if they changed hands or they don’t care anymore. Again disappointed.
This is a tough call. I’ve had amazing experiences here in the past but lately not so much. Last clay pot dish I got had way too much Ginger for my taste. My last meal there was very good but the service was horrible. I will try a time or two more in hopes these were just a snag in a long history of excellence.
Had just one type of pho, but was excellent. Lots of traditional cuisine, including many clay pot choices.
The food is decent, to say the most. The words authentic and cuisine would not cover it though. Saigon has been too Americanized. If you want true authentic Vietnamese cuisine then Taste of Vietnam is where you need to be. That is true authentic Vietnamese food there
