Authentic Korean Dishes. What a nice surprise. This place serves some very good, authentic Korean food, and not just BBQ beef. The interior is well lit and roomy, with nice size booths. The service is efficient and friendly, with several different folks checking on you during the meal. Some the folks here do struggle some with english. The Banchan that begins your meal consisted of 7 small plates of various items, including kimchi, celery root, onions, seaweed salad, broccoli with sausage, potato salad, and strips of meat, all served cold. The cabbage kimchi is very mild, perhaps the mildest version I’ve encountered, decent but no snap. Same with the celery root, appears to have been pickled with the same ingredients. The potato salad seems a strange item for a Korean restaurant, but this is very popular in Korea, and it was really pretty good. The seaweed salad is simply awful tasting stuff, and I’ve found all versions to be so. The broccoli dish had small amounts of what can only be described as cut up wiener – a strange dish.We ordered the Shrimp Tempura, and this was very good – crispy and not at all greasy. There were four nice shrimp and various veggies, but did not include a dipping sauce. We followed that up with Bibimbap with Beef, Golbi (Beef Short Ribs), and a seafood stew that was mostly calamari. All were very good, though a little of the Beef Bibimbap goes a long way.We have also tried the Bilgogi Dubbab, and it is excellent. This is a shared dish which can not be ordered individually. Most of the stews or hotpot items are very good as well. The Veggie Bibimbap with egg yolk is also nice, and I highly recommend the scallion pancake, which definitely can be shared.
Delicious. Awesome appetizers with excellent main dishes as well.
Best Korean in the triad! get the seafood pancake! try the spicy galbi tang – it is a beautiful beef dish that will cure your ills.
Delicious. Good Korean, always a great meal. Little pricey, but great.
Don’t let the exterior fool you. Real Korean food with great service. Great change of pace for the Triad. Stone pot spicy beef.
Not racist. I’m not sure if the previous poster came on a bad day or what, but my husband is white and I’m Korean. We have visited this restarant many times and have had no issues. In fact, my children (two boys) look very much like their father and the waitresses fawn all over them. Having had issues with other Koreans and whites being unfavorable to our mixed marrige, I’m particularly sensative. I have never had an issue. Also, I just check with my sister who has also married a white man and she has never had an issue. I hope this doesn’t discourage other patrons. The food is delicious and everyone has always been very nice.
This is a great place if you want to taste authentic Korean food but be warned it’s not for the faint of heart if you don’t like spicy and hot this is not the place for you the menu is loaded with all the soups stews and table side habachi you love hot stone bowls and dozens of noodle dishes you ne it they make it very kind service staff and nice atmosphere very reasonable prices for the excellent food they make if you like Korean food you’ll love seoul garden
