Stephanie’s high quality food is so delicious and the portions were equal to that of the Flinstones Bed Rock Brontosaurus Burgers (LOL). This was my first visit. I ordered Fried Catfish Fillet & Grilled Catfish Fillet w/ Cocktail Sauce, Candied Yams, Mac ‘N Cheese and a Biscuit w/ Sweet Tea. The atmosphere consisted of simple decor and I particularly loved the art work hanging on the walls throughout the restaurant. The location is an easy in and out. The Meal prep time was acceptable. The staff is great and their service was friendly complete with smiles. Ill definitely return and my taste-buds will forever remember this place!!
Service. I really really love the food here.. I tried many different entrees and never have been disappointed.. I have been here on different days and different times of the day..HOWEVER as good as the food is the service is horrible..there are many examples I can give.. This is not the purpose of the review.. I am just asking mgt. & ownership to fix it.. Have a staff meeting and role play on what excellent service looks like and what poor service looks like..etc.. I Guarantee you your sales will explode..

I ordered the catfish and it was delicious! Green beans were a little greasy but fried okra was good. And the cornbread was sweet and moist. My husband ordered the chopped barbeque chicken and liked it too. Our waitress was very good and super nice. The cheeseburger kids meal was nothing special but it was cheap. I really wanted my son to try the meatballs but he wasn’t interested. I’d definitely go here again. Fast easy dinner on our road trip and reasonable prices. Way better than a chain.
Great food, however, you will have to wait for it. It will take 30-45 minutes for you to get your food, unless the restaurant is empty. I would suggest other restaurant that serve quicker, such as Dame’s Chicken and Waffles or Other restaurants.
Of all the resturants in Greensboro, Stephanie’s is a true neighborhood resturant. The food is expertly prepared, the selections are well thought out & well proportioned. The staff is young but knowledgable and hard working. I especially like the bone-in fish and chicken wings. Both are cooked to perfection & a little crispy. No one likes soft soggy fried fish! It is If I had a complaint, it would be that it closes a little too early to my liking. I highly recommend anyone desiring a great meal check out Stephanie’s II.
Must Have Caught Them On A Bad Day. The skin on the fried Whiting was tough, had to use a knife. The fish taste was decent, but a little dry. The portion size was very good. The fries and the hush puppies were very good, as was the iced tea. My wife’s fried chicken was rather odd – first, the leg and the thigh were huge, almost as if it came from something other than a fryer. While the skin was excellent, with a good, strong salt and pepper taste, the meat was almost completely gray in color, and the texture was a little odd, as well – it kinda creeped me out some. I’ll probably give it another try, but not again if we have the same experience.
