The best service and taco place in Greensboro. Coming home from school, the first place I go is here. They are some of the nicest people in town and the food is even better. You can’t beat $1 tacos piled high with steak and onions. They bend over backwards to accommodate the patrons with what they want on their food. Any other place I have found charges $9 MORE than they would for three tacos and they are substandard to El Azteca.
The food was okay here, but the portions were very small compared to other mexican restaurants, and the prices were a bit high. I won’t be going back. Too many better options exist.
Love this place! I come here every tuesday with friends for the dollar tacos. I haven’t found a better Mexican restaurant better than this!
Best Mexican food in Greensboro. Not sure what these other people are talking about. Fish tacos are AMAZING!
Gross Food. The food was not appetizing whatsoever and looked like slop on a plate for pigs. Found food on my plate that was not suppose to be there. The prices were too high for what I got and the portions are tiny. Avoid this restaurant!
ALL DAY LONG Tuesday and Thursday DOLLAR Taco. Oh! those were the days… a couple of blocks away from my former employer… half our office staff grabbing seats for Lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays… Why? TACO Tuesday and Thursday… ALL DAY LONG! Oh! Did I tell you it includes Chips and Salsa!? OK, I admit I have splurged on the dessert selection as well. Fried Ice Cream was my favorite… Flan and Strawberry Churros. There was a dish served at another table that was unusual… I have no idea what it’s called but pictured on the menu at around $20-$25 enough to share. Everyone in the restaurant turned to look AND STARE at whatever delicacy it was…
There Is Better, Quieter, And Cheaper Around. Might have caught these guys on a bad day, because I was not impressed. The four authentic tacos were soft fist size tortillas, sprinkled with small amounts of ground beef, pork al pastor, chicken, and steak. These were topped with onion, cilantro, several pieces of old looking radish, and a slice of avocado. The cilantro dominated the taste, and what little flavor might have been in the rather dry meat offerings was overwhelmed, and I like cilantro. The al pastor was especially disappointing – simply tasteless. The cost for these petite tacos was about $8 – no value here.My wife’s enchiladas were a little better, but only a little. The ground beef one was great, and the cheese was good, but the chicken was only so-so, and the bean one was watery and had no taste. The size was not bad, but not worth something over $10.The restaurant is rather small, the decor is more upscale than most Mexican restaurants, but it is really noisy when crowded. The service was slower than I’m used to in Mexican places – several tables that came in after us were served their food before us – 20 minutes for 4 enchiladas and four little tacos is a bit much.
