  Fast Food Japanese Done Well. Same name, menu, and basic setup as the one on Lawndale, but the owners are different, and there seems to be a little difference in the food preparation, and I don’t think they particularly like each other – seen that before.This place is a little hard to find at first, especially if you are going away from town – it is on the side of a strip center best seen heading in. This is a small place, 10 or 12 tables, no ambiance to speak of, and a single, muted TV on the front wall. The service is excellent, the staff friendly and chatty.The Hibachi Chicken ($5.75), Hibachi Shrimp ($6.90), and the Teriyaki Chicken ($5.75) are all nicely done – they come with Fried Rice, and Stir Fried Veggies (Onions, Carrots, Zucchini, & Broccoli). The portions are well sized, the chicken & shrimp are fresh tasting and not cooked to death. The veggies are also fresh tasting, slightly overcooked for my tastes, but still good – they are really not stir fried since they are cooked on a flat grill, so it is easy to over cook them on that surface.All the sauces I tried (White, Ginger, and Hot) were good to excellent – the White Sauce is sweet, so a little goes a long way. Good tastes, good value – I’ll be back.

  Great lunch spot. Good food, friendly service, and quick. Prices are affordable.
