After living in Greenville a few years its still one of our go-to restaurants. Really enjoy their pizza even though their crust is really salty. Burgers are good, broccoli salad as a side is surprisingly good too. Stay away from their spaghetti bolognese though until they change their recipe.01 Apr, 2012One of the best places to eat in Greenville. Depending on what you order, it could be awesome, or a bad experience. Generally stay away from the soups unless it’s the bisque. A good place to get pizza too (the naked Greek). Service is rather poor, but that’s a norm in Greenville.

2nd Chance No Better. Went to eat lunch one more time at aTavola Market Cafe today. The waitress was great! However, I ordered the Noodle Bowl, and after asking, was told that it was definitely Asian flavored and that it was very good. I was also told that other Asian customers have said that it was very much like a traditional bowl they would fix themselves or eat in an Asian restaurant. When I finally got my noodle bowl. I started eating it and was waiting to taste the Asian flavorings — and there were none. In a few minutes I knew why! There was so much red pepper in the bowl that my mouth was really burned by overuse of the spice. Not only was my mouth on fire, but my lips were on fire a well. Everywhere I licked my lips I felt instant burning and pain! All I was tasting was the heat of the bowl. This intense burning continued for over an hour after I finished eating it. I did tell the waitress to instruct the cook not too overuse the spice and that if it was going to be this hot it should be indicated on the menu. The actual contents of the bowl were fine — lots of chicken breast, shrimp, carrots, spring onions, broccoli florets and other veggies. The broth was chicken-based, and although the menu describes it as having ginger in it — I never tasted it. After two negative experiences here I will never go back and try for a third. All I taste now in my mouth is an acidic bitterness that won’t go away — and although the burning is way less — it’s still there 3 hours after eating the bowl. This experience is one I will not soon forget.06 Sep, 2012Dismal at Best. Went for lunch on a weekday. Waitress memorized the order for over 5 people (she didn’t write anything down), result? She screwed up most of the orders! My sandwich was incorrect and delivered late, so by the time I got the corrected order, everyone else had finished. My corrected sandwich was dry, bread fell apart, and I got so frustrated eating it that I simply stopped mid way through – plus it just didn’t taste good! Potato salad was awful — mushy and flat and tasted a little old. The waitress was actually the bartender, as they were short-staffed, and she tried really hard to do her best — but there is probably a reason she is a bartender and not a waitress – shame on management for doing that to her! I did not have to pay for my meal, and I did not have to ask to not pay for it. They knew they had messed up, so they offered it to me for free. Smart move.I will never go there again, however. The food is overpriced and just not much good.

I wasn’t wowed… The restaurant provided a nice cozy atmpsphere but the food & service were both mediocre. My seafood bisque was decent but my sister’s pasta was closer to a soup. I don’t think I will go back.

Always tasty. I’ve eaten here for several years and I have not been disappointed yet. Panninis and the BBQ baked beans are wonderful, but the coup de grace is the cioppino and ciabatta bread. The seafood is tender and NOT overcooked. The seasoning is spot-on. Eating here is absolutely a treat!

Love This place.. Food is wonderful. Prices range to fit every budget. Service is usually good, although they are always so jam packed, the servers don’t have a whole lot of time for idle chit chat! They have an Italian ‘fish stew’…can’t remember the name but it starts with C…to DIE for. I go at least once a month…

Outstanding Food & Service…… Again food and service is outstanding. Each time I go I try something different and I’m always amazed. Definitly stay for desert if you have any room left, The CANDY cheesecake will blow you away. 1 of the best places to dine in Greenville. I bet you’ll be back.
