If you are thinking about Basil’s for lunch or dinner then pick another place to dine. The manager has no people skills and the food is mediocre. The wait time was ridiculous and not to mention a wasted trip on my behalf. Did I mention two trips to the restaurant in one night? Well, my takeout-order was given to another customer and I had to reorder with no explanation. I did receive a mere apology, but I think that was too much of an effort to say on their part. This is the first time ever in my dining experiences that a manager did not attempt to make things right for the customer. I guess all the negative remarks about the manager ring true. Here’s a news flash for you – I will never eat at your establishment again.
If you like salad and pizza, you simply MUST try Basil’s Two for One pizza. The crust is simply perfection. No sauce, just cheese baked on crust. Tossed salad with spinach, tomatoes, onion, feta and housemate vinaigrette then is placed on top of the cheeses pizza crust. The warm and gooeyness of the cheese mixed with the fresh salad is just simply an unexpected pleasure.
Let me just say, no.. I can honestly say I gave this place a honest try. I went there twice. Shame on me, for returning. Abysmal service. Just terrible. Both times. First time was a 20 minute wait, after being seated. The second time was a 15 minute wait, again, after being seated. Honestly the only reason I stayed was to see just how long it would take. It took that long just to get my drink, let alone order! Hell, they weren’t even busy. I think I may have been one of four customers there at the time. If you have time to waste, you know instead of perusing Facebook, or watching paint peel, then I suggest coming to Basil’s. If you have a life, however, look someplace else. The price you pay for hiring college students as your wait staff. Get it? WAIT staff.
Disappointed. I would like to tell you about our experience but we did not stay long enough to have one. The hostess seated our party of two quickly in the bar section but that was the only interaction we had with the staff. After waiting over fifteen minutes while numerous servers passed by while making eye contact with our table without even a greeting, we decided to leave. Also while waiting, we watched the servers conversing among themselves and clearly were too busy to attend to us so we left and took our business to another place. What a disappointment 🙁
Pasta is wonderful. Sebatian’s Delight is the best pasta dish I have ever had. If you like crab and shrimp, you will love this.
Very slow! Waited an hour after ordering to get food (lunch). What I got was so bad I sent it back and I almost never do that! I definitely do not recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I just had lunch here. I must say that this place is a diamond in the rough. The food was amazing. Everything was fresh, made to order. The beer, crab, and hot sausage dips were delicious. The cheese infused burgers are amazing. We will definitely be returning again and again. The wait staff is also very friendly and helpful.
