I really like the place where you have a feeling like home. And this place definitely has it! Nice coffee and great food. It was my stop for couple of times when I wanted to slow down and enjoy the moment.really like their scones and bagels.

Delicious lunch. A friend and I ventured to Hendersonville for Art on Main after church. We skipped lunch to enjoy the art and found ourselves at Black Bear Coffee mid-afternoon. In addition to a tasty cup of coffee, the owner waited on us and created delicious food. He was accommodating and friendly and went out of his way to make sure we had what we wanted, and more (he added some avocado to our sandwiches to give them an extra special taste. Worth a try – the falafel sandwich and a made-to-order as desired grilled cheese.
My wife and I returned to Hendersonville for our 2nd anniversary from Jacksonville Florida and thought we would try a different business for coffee this time around. Coffee was ok and the young girl who took the order seemed nice enough but the youngish brunette that made the drinks had the personality of a corpse. Never said a word or even let us know when they were ready….and I was standing about 5′ away. She made them and put them on the counter. I walk back up to get them and she’s right there and sees me but….nothing. very snotty …WILL NOT GO BACK.
Better than Starbucks. I had forgotten how wonderful it is to enjoy a few minutes with my BFF having delicious coffee and muffins at Black Bear Coffee Shop. Stephanie is so pleasant!
