Iannucci’s Hendersonville. Went to Hendersonville iannuccis. Great food and reasonable prices. Authentic . Love the ziti and the bread sticks! I will definitely go back often.

There are better pizza places in town. I grew up in Italy on Neopolitan pizza. I have never gotten use to this heavy overly sauced pizza. The other dishes are similarly unimpressive. Overly sauced and bland. The atmosphere is equally bland faux Italianesque.

Great Italian Food. My family and I love this place. You can tell an authentic Italian restaurant from a wannabe as soon as you enter the door, even if you were blindfolded, for a real Italian restaurant has that Italian fragrance wafting from their kitchen, and Iannucci’s causes your mouth to water when you enter–you can almost taste the air. The owner makes a wonderful marinara sauce every morning, and it’s one of the best marinara sauces I’ve ever tasted–and I grew up just outside of NYC, where there are more Italian restaurants than you can count–just delicious with his warm homemade bread sticks. I usually don’t eat white bread, but I do when I go to Iannucci’s. My wife recently had the pasta with Italian sausage, and it was delicious; the portions were huge, a big bowl of pasta and two large sausages, for about ten bucks, and that comes with a salad and bread sticks. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and a side of pasta with the salad and bread sticks. The Eggplant Parmesan is incredible, just absolutely delicious, and as good as any I’ve had in the NYC area. Our two kids ordered a large House pizza, and it was very good, but I had asked if they could make it NY style thin crust, and it wasn’t really that, but still very tasty. Their prices are more than reasonable. Many entrees are only $7, like their lasagna is only seven something, which is a great deal in this day and age. I highly recommend this little Italian restaurant. I don’t understand it having only a 72 rating. It is much better than that. Perhaps some southerners, raised on Dominos and Pizza Hut do not appreciate the real thing, but Iannucci’s has been serving food there since 1978, so a lot of somebodies around here have been appreciating it. To top it off, the staff is always friendly.

Very dissapointed with food and management. Pork was in almost all of the meals without any indication on the menu. They even put pepperoni on the house salads. When we notified the management of the health/religious issues regarding pork in both red sauces, he did not come over or offer us a refund on food we could not eat. The only thing saving this place was the server. She was very apologetic. With non-food related issues, the decor had much to be desired.

Disappointed this time around.. Usually I just order pizza to go from Ianucci’s, but I decided to go out for dinner with my girlfriend and eat inside for once. It took around 10 minutes to get our drink order taken after being seated, but that’s understandable because they seemed to be a little short on staff. I ordered the breadsticks to start, and was a little disappointed in what we received. The breadsticks were essentially just their usual pizza dough completely coated in toasted sesame seeds, and the end results’ flavor was indistinguishable from buttered popcorn. The portion of butter that came with the breadsticks was negligible; just two small, cold pats for four large hunks of bread. The starter salad was passable, but the chicken alfredo was what really irked me. When I drop $13 on a plate of pasta, I would expect more than (what tasted like) frozen chicken, unsalted pasta, and the blandest alfredo sauce I’ve tasted to date. I will mention that once our server finally greeted us, she was very pleasant and attentive, and was prompt with refills/appetizers/etc. As I’ve mentioned, I really love their pizza, and would never say a bad word about it, but the other dishes unfortunately disappointed me. Perhaps I just chose the wrong meal this time around, and hopefully next time I go in, I’ll leave a little more satisfied.

Wow! Thanks to a Groupon deal, my family and I tried this restaurant out on a weekend trip to Asheville. What a great meal. Tasty crust on the sicilian pizza, and the service was wonderful. The atmosphere reminds me of old family pizzerias in New Jersey. The desserts were homemade, we enjoyed smooth, perfectly sweetened cannoli and a cheesecake (not as dense as NY style as advertised, but delicious.) The news clipping framed at our table showed the owner in the kitchen, and confirmed for us that Iannucci’s is the real deal. We’ll be back.

Underwhelmed by the pizza. To get right to the point about it… for the price of their pizza, I was not impressed. The toppings were ample, but the sauce was unremarkable and the crust was bland with the center of the pie doughy and runny. I even gave them the benefit of the doubt after the first try, and went back a couple of weeks later, thinking that maybe I had gotten bum pie (it happens)… No change. So, I’ll keep searching the area for a really top-notch, old fashioned and *reasonably priced* pizza. On the up side though, the canoli here are TO DIE FOR!
