I am 60 years old and this was by far the WORSE experience I have ever had in my life. We were a table of 6 and from the start the server was rude and incompetent. If the server dressed in a cowboy outfit is still working there then they have a real problem. We are a family of people that have owned and worked in restaurants and the way our meal was handled was inexcusable. We understand being busy and the food taking a long time but the servers attitude and the way things were handled was TERRIBLE. We asked to talk to the manager and were told he was in the kitchen cooking, then we were told the manager was the hostess. It was obvious no one cared. When leaving I tried to talk to the server and he threw up his hands almost hitting me and walked away yelling. We almost ALWAYS tip 20% and I have to say this is the first time in my life I didn’t tip. You are in the service business GET A NEW JOB!!!
My wife and I were married this past December. We purchased a $75 gift card from this restaurant and they gave us a card for a free appetizer. My wife met a friend downtown today and tried to use the card. The manager would not accept it because it was not signed on the back – even though he was the one that gave us the card. He was extremely rude to my wife and her friend.I don’t recommend this particular Sol Y Luna due to rude employees especially the manager. We really like the one on Brevard Rd, seems to be much more friendly.
