My Favorite Mex Restaurant. Fresh warm chips with bean dip for starters. Lunch menu is wonderful. Lots to choose from. Always enjoy what ever we get. They just put out a new menu so it got even better! Happy place with great service and great prices for great food. What more can you ask for?
Best Mexican in Town. My wife and I used to visit when this restaurant was called Cocula, and when the current owner reopened it as Tecate, we thought it was worth a try. Good move on our part. We now eat there on a regular basis, and we have taken many family members and friends there. Tecate is a family-operated business, and we have always had great food and service there. The Enchiladas Tecate are becoming a favorite in our family. The plate comes with three very large chicken enchiladas, packed full of big pieces of chicken, along with your choice or rice or beans. My wife especially likes the Pollo Tecate, and almost refuses to try anything else. If I’m hungry enough to handle a very large meal, I usually get the Texas Fajitas. They are loaded with beef, chicken and shrimp, with an abundance of onions, zucchini and bell pepper, along with rice, beans and salad. The owner, when he is not cooking, usually makes the rounds of the dining room, asking about the food and talking with the customers. The atmosphere here is almost like the customers are personal friends.It is well worth the effort to visit.

Awesome!. Hands down, the best mexican restaurant in Hendersonville! Service is excellent food is yummy and the prices are great! What more you you ask for!
Outstanding!! Outstanding food, outstanding service. I have been there with my husband about 5 times now, we were never disappointed. The food is excelent for the price. Waiters are always ready to help, food comes always fast. We went there for Cinco de Mayo and both of us got a shirt from them! They are the best in town, no doubt about it!!!
Just passing by. This is a hard review. Let’s start with the chips. They were old or just very cheap I am not sure which? Either way they were not to tasty. The sauces and bean dip was just OK. I have the Pollo Fundido, the chicken breast was over grilled and very dry the cheeses had tried to melt but just did not make it to that point. All in all I’ll most likely will not be back. I guess for 7.00 it was at best a 5 of 10.
