The thing to know about the nickel is the wings. You will not find a better wing, anywhere, period. Get a combination of the sweet Thai and nickle hot sauces for the perfect sweet and hot wing. I don’t know what kind of genetic engineering goes into these oversized wings, but it’s frickin delicious. That being said, good luck ever getting a table or decent service in this bar the size of my bathroom. The staff is really friendly, but the service is a bit relaxed, but that’s also just the vibe of the place. If they doubled the size of their space I’d be there weekly, but never being able to get a table makes it a once a month treat.

The service is great too, two burly woodcutter-looking guys usually run the show, Britton and one other. Great spot, just wish it was bigger, but then it would lose the mystique. Ample parking on the street.

Rude blond still there!. This is the best pub ever, and we love going. The drinks and food are the best! The only time we don’t enjoy the Nickle is where the rude blond is there. She also makes us wait a long time for drinks even when the bar is not crowded (see old posts). Try not to get her, if she is the only one working we turn around and walk out. All of the guys are friendly & attentive.
This place is awesome!! The bearded wonder aka the murrmaniac makes some of the best drinks around. The wonder has a great personality but be to loud or go behind his bar or you will face the ulitmate punishment. With this said, PHIL IS STILL BETTER!!!
Always crowded but once you taste the food you know why. The wings are amazing. Once you have the fried banana peppers you’ll be hooked for life.
Great food, great beer and perhaps the worst service anywhere.
