It’s like going to your grandparents house and getting a good home cooked meal.If you have family or friends coming into town and are wondering where to go for dinner, you can’t loose on this choice.They were both very friendly and were accommodating ( they allowed us to be seated late).
So rude it was almost funny. I have never been made to feel so unwelcome in my life. It was as if we were forcing the owners to cook for us and serve us against their will. From the time we were seated until the time we left, both of them were unbelievably hateful, rude, and aggressive. The food was good, but I will never pay again to be insulted and attacked.
Took my husband there today for his birthday, we have lived in fayetteville for about 6 years and we decided to go today. The food was outstanding, I had the sahneschitzel and my husband had the gypsy schitzel we could not believe how authentic the food was.nice atmosphere and the owners where very kind people. This is a place I will reccomend and will enjoy eating at again.
Delightful and delicious. 6 of us had reservations for a late lunch/early dinner. We were in for a dining experience. My roast pork was fork tender. As delicious as it was, I was longing to try my husband’s snitzel with swiss cheese, oven baked with a light wine sauce. It was out of this world! The spatzel was light as a feather. The salad was seasoned just right. Too bad, none of us had room for a dessert.
Must eat. The food was awesome the atmosphere was great Marita and her husband were great host. I haven’t had such a good meal since I left germany in the 90’s. I would recommend this place to any one and this is one my list of favorite foreign meal places to go my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. The menu is in both german and english to give it that authentic look and we had the meal for two which served many german dishes.
The best German food I have had in the states and I grew up in Germany. Part of the charm of eating out in Europe is that you are not rushed, the meal takes longer to get to the table so you have more time to enjoy your friends company. I did not think the service was too slow. Marita and her Husband were really friendly! The food was amazing, and authentic, I would recommend Maritas to anyone looking for legit German food. My husband ordered a schnitzel and we could hear Marita tenderizing the meat fresh right after it was ordered. Id rather wait for a good meal, than get a crappy one that comes out in 10mins!!
Wunderbar!. You won’t find better german cuisine unless you actually go to Germany. My husband and I called ahead to make sure they had a table and when we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome from the owners. The wonderful smells comig from the kitchen had our mouths watering. We both had Schintzle, spaetzle, brotchen, salad, saurkraut- all of which were perfectly prepared. My husband topped off his meal with imported german pils. I’m so glad we found this gem of a restaurant tucked away here in the Fayetteville area.
