Expensive bad service bin. They should change the name of this place to something more representative of the kind of service they give. A buddy and I visited here one day for a change of lunch scene. Bad move by us – the place was packed and too small to handle all the people. The service was extremely slow and frankly the food wasn’t very good. The service was very bad – the communication also bad. My buddy and I while standing..waiting for our food decided we’d never come back. Not only that but, it was expensive for what we got as well. UGH!
Great Bagels!. I’ve been coming here for years. The bagels are always good. One thing: It can get very crowded on a Saturday or Sunday morning so try to get there before 8:00 AM. They also close early on the weekends. Also, as another diner wrote, be prepared to wait for your order. I only get bagels but if the person in front of you is ordering lots of food, sandwiches, etc., you will wait and wait and wait. They should have a dedicated bagel only area but the place is just too small and unorganized.
Best NY style bagels in the area. Slow disorganized service. Food quality makes up for the service.
Good food Terrible SYSTEM. I frequent this place because I like the bagels. Howvere, if you have more than two people in front of you prepare to wait and be frustrated. The same person that takes your order preps your order and checks you out. I NEVER get anything more than a bag of bagels….it shouldnt take 15-20 minutes to do that
Stinking love this place – great cawwwfee and bagels – me and my sis always meet our girlfriend there for breakfast – it doesn’t bother me that they’re not the friendliest because it adds to the character of the place. Remember the Seinfeld soup nazi place?! I’m a new Yorker so maybe that’s why – but whatever this place rocks!
Being a former Long Islander, I used to love this place. But the service has consistently and dramatically gone downhill. The other day I waited in line for 25 minutes, couldn’t get what I wanted, had to repeat my order 3 times b/c the girl was too busy goofing around with her coworkers, I got overcharged, I asked for a receipt & didn’t get one. Get it together please. You’re a mess.
