Grew up in NY area and this is as close to the feel of a bagel shop as Ive experienced in Charlotte. Bagels are good. They have the NY style extras like whitefish, lox, knishes, bialys. They border on annoyed if you get to the front of the line and dont know what you want – feels like NY :)This has become a go-to spot for bagel and coffee on Sunday morning.
The employees/staff ruins this place…. I have been here on 4 different occasions because I really want to like like this place! Good, local breakfast/lunch places are not easy to find in this area (I try to stay away from chain/corporate stores as much as possible).Unfortunately, the staff is extremely slow and not friendly at all, bordering on rude – which completely ruins the experience. Quicker service and friendly staff could really make this place a success!
