  If You’re Not a Regular Customer – Forget It. I have previously given Ledbetter’s a good review but unfortunately must now change it. Service has gone downhill to the point of being nonexistent unless you are a regular customer.Ledbetter’s is about two blocks down the street from where I work. I’ve gotten take out a couple of times before (no seating here, take out only) and it’s been a decent greasy spoon.Today I went in and ordered two dogs all the way. Only one person ahead of me. I watched them make my order and then it just sit there. Six others came in behind me, ordered, got their orders and left and still my order sat there. Thing in common was each knew the owner so they got preferrence and in general, their orders were a lot more involved than mine. That’s one reason I kept it simple.Finally after ten minutes, I just left. They can keep the $2.67 but in the process, they have lost a customer.If you’re looking for anyplace that offers, service with their food, this is obviously not the place to go. I do not recommend this place to anyone.08 Jan, 2011Greasy Spoon at Best but where’s Marcell. This is the ultimate hole in wall. Normally I include atmosphere in the rating but this place has none. On the other hand, it does not claim to be anything other than what it is and in that respect, it’s genuine.This is note the kind of place where you go for healty eating. The AMA and the American Heart Association who die over the menu but if you want the real, high fat, high caloric and fantastic taste we all crave, then this place deserves a try. It’s a throwback to the diners we all grew up with and loved before we became so health consciouus.As I said, it’s a hole in the wall back in the back or a series of warehouses and self serve storage building. You’ll never find it if you use the map that is on this web page. Nevertheless, once you find it, you walk in to the counter and place your order from a list of hot dogs, burgers etc. Everything is to go since there is no seating.Food is as described above. Sinful but full of the taste we all crave. The french fries are excellent and the burger and hot dogs are what we remember they should be.Don’t recommend eating there everyday but once in a while is OK. Don’t worry, I’m not going to tell my Dr. that I went there for lunch although I suspect I might run into him there sometime.Regarding the map, from I-77, go east on US 70 about 3/4 mile, turn right on Barkley Road at the right and it’s buried back in the back of all of the building on the right.
