BBQ Wasteland. I you love good Que, then this is not your place. Stopped in for lunch yesterday and ordered a Jumbo BBQ Sandwich with Fries on the Side.The Que was extremely dry to the point that the sauce did not even help. No moisture what so ever and the consistency of straw. Fries were only half way cooked and on some of the bigger ones, had a raw crunch to them.Not sure what to make of the sauce but I’m going to quess that it was suppose to be a cross between Lexington and Eastern NC Style. Anyway, back to the drawing board.Staff is courteous but you order at the counter and pick up your own so very little interaction between the staff and customers.It’s a small place with a homey warm atmosphere and appears to be a favorite of the locals. When I got back to the office, I talked to several members of my staff who told me that if I had asked, they would have told me to avoid the BBQ and go with the Wings. You would assume that with BBQ in the name, that would be their strong point.Would not recommend particulary if you like Bar-B-Cue.
